NEW WORK

@rnli - ‘FLOAT’

Making this film felt like when all the traffic lights go green for Bruce Almighty. At every stage we were lucky.

My motivation with this film was to create a slice of Irish teenage summer, as I remembered it. Mates, sports, messing, girls. A demographic so pure that unfortunately is experiencing too many incidents in water.

The incredible client ran with the script and then everyone who came on board elevated what we were trying to do. Cast, crew & post were incredible. Special shout out to the sedgehog @daniel_sedgwick_ with whom it was a first collaboration. First of many, I hope. @drewmaitland @rubyhegs @mustard_editors @jake.m.white @company_3 @sumsone @yevagabonds @sgcasting_ and @trb.mor brought the film to new heights and as ever the @wearebanjoman made it possible against odds.

Lovely to make something without time limits and embracing subtly and craft.

🚨SHINE TEASER 🚨

Less than 2 weeks out from our screening at @galwayfilm we wanted to share a closer look at the world of SHINE.

This short was built as a proof of concept to give a sense of what the feature will look and feel like - To explore the tone and style of Dermot’s upcoming feature. It is not a sequence from the feature, rather it centers around the same characters in a side quest story that gives us a sense of what’s to come.
