Lots of new faces here, so I wanted to reintroduce myself!

My name is Mark Strom, and I’m a board certified dermatologist in New York City. I grew up in Minnesota and I attended medical school at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. I completed my dermatology residency at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. I’ve published a number of papers in dermatology journals, mainly focused on atopic dermatitis and its associated problems.

I love teaching on social media about skincare and dermatology, and I like to help people make the right decisions about what to buy for their skin. I also like to create and share content on travel and music.

Does SPF 100 actually work better than SPF 30 or SPF 50? The answer might surprise you!

What SPF do you use every day? I’ll go first ⬇️

One minor correction: I should have have referred to how much ‘burning UV rays’ SPF lets through, not simply ‘UVB rays’ as UVA protection also contributes to SPF values
