🧴 Before swimming:
- I apply a layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline over my face to reduce moisture loss. Otherwise it gets super dry after I’ve been swimming for an hour
- I wet my hair with a spray bottle and apply coconut oil, then put it all under a good swim cap. It’s like doing a pre-poo.
- I usually try to detangle my hair before I swim so I’m not detangling afterwards when it’s already fragile

🚿 After swimming:
- I rinse my skin and hair thoroughly with fresh water straight away.
- My routine after swimming is gentle – I skip any retinoids/exfoliants that day
- Conditioning my hair is a non-negotiable
You don’t have to give up swimming to look after your skin and hair. You just need the right routine!
