I am so full of gratitude for everyone’s for my big day! Yesterday I took a big leap into into new life. LtCol Derrick Montgomery, Retired. I can’t begin to tell you how much it meant to stand beside family an friends for one of the biggest transitions in my life. All accolades go to my wife for putting everything together. Shout out to my presiding official Larry Waites. My brothers who spent countless hours learning my song! We are now Boys II Morehouse men Mark Rock Nelson Andre Kearns Andre Edwards Jea Porter Street Jr. Jay Craft Shirley Taylor for being my narrator and Sgt Mobley for being proffer. To all the people who flew, drove, hitchhiked from far and wide, Thank you!! They say give a person their flowers while they’re living. I’m certainly basking in the meadow. by @derrick1413

Sooo I rarely do something that makes me feel proud of myself, but today is one of those days.

My passenger side mirror suffered a hit and run by a rogue garage post. No I was not drunk! I was “praying and driving” anyway, neither here nor there, pay attention!!

I bought the part, but the dealer wanted over $400 in labor to replace it and “paint” it. I went to YouTube university and after removing the inside of the door, voila! I feel like I’m ready for NASA! Artemis 2 needs a new engineer? I got you!!

I can’t let this day end without thanking everyone for the avalanche of calls and texts I received today! I am grateful to everyone who took time out of your schedule to reach out. I’m humbled. 51 is feeling pretty good so far, I benched 2 plates for 13 reps which I think is pretty damn good for a soon to be AARP MEMBER! by @derrick1413

I am peacock proud and hippopotamus happy to call her my daughter! God is Good! by @derrick1413
