LEADERS: Are you so focused on who hasn’t booked you that you’re overlooking who already needs you?

When we created my September and October itinerary, we started with everything already on my calendar. Before another invitation arrived, there were already commitments to honor, people to serve, and opportunities to make an impact.

It made me think: How often do we overlook our own assignments while waiting for someone else to give us one?

We want more engagements, more platforms, and more open doors. But have we given our full attention to what God has already entrusted to us?

The people you lead every week deserve the same preparation, passion, and care you would bring to a room you’ve never stood in before. Familiarity should never cause us to treat an assignment as insignificant.

Take another look at your calendar. Look at the meetings, the services, the conversations, and the commitments. Recognize the purpose behind what you’ve started calling routine.

Before you ask, “Who’s going to book me?” ask, “Am I fully showing up for the assignments I already have?” by @derrickagolden

A bit of life…
Great people, a lot of laughs, date nights and one of my favorite perfumes from @the7virtues. It’s clean, sweet, sexy…and I get mine at @sephora because smelling good is always necessary.

A lot of memories made! I went to Disneyland for the first time at 54 and I screamed on rides like I didn’t care. 🤪

And of course I packed my @wishgardenherbs Get Over It Immune Builder. I’ve had to pull these out quite a bit lately, and they make some of my favorite tinctures.

And somewhere in the middle of all of this, I released a children’s book.

Let’s go, men! This invitation is for YOU.

I woke up Monday morning with men on my heart, and the Lord instructed me to bring us together for a night of prayer. I’ll be honest I pushed back, thinking, “Lord, it’s Friday night. People may already have plans for the weekend.” But I knew I needed to be obedient to what God was asking me to do.

Men carry a lot responsibilities, expectations, decisions, and sometimes battles nobody else knows about. This is an opportunity for us to come together, seek God, and strengthen one another through prayer. We’re praying for our families, our direction, our faith, and the things we’ve been carrying quietly.

If this resonates with you, make plans to be in the room. We won’t be long, but we’re coming with purpose and faith, believing our prayers will make a difference.

It started with a sketch. I knew from the beginning that I wanted us to be part of the story. That’s Derrick (my husband) and I with our grandchildren.😍

I also wanted Live Life Grand to be multicultural, to reflect different families, cultures and backgrounds. I wanted children to turn the pages and see a world that looked like the one they’re growing up in.

I think there’s something beautiful about watching an idea become something you can actually hold in your hands and my illustrator @amnaz.art is amazing. She helped me bring what I imagined to life.

If I would’ve known I’d feel this way 32 years in, I would’ve prayed for exactly this. These years spent with you have proven to be better than I expected and more than I deserve. And yet, somehow, my love for you has only gotten more ferocious with time!
32 years of choosing you.
32 years of growing together.
32 years of laughter, hard times, blessings, lessons, and memories.
32 years of LOVE, the kind that stands, fights, forgives, grows, and keeps choosing each other.
