We were given access. I was allowed to see, ask questions, and draw my own conclusions.

And after everything I saw behind the scenes, even as a consumer, choosing Friso for my own children feels like an easy decision.

Full disclosure, it doesn’t always go like this. There are plenty of days when sharing is a hard no, and I’m negotiating over a lot more than fries.

I never sat her down to explain why I always take the short fries. Honestly, I’m not sure she even noticed. It’s just something I do every week, the same way Jellies and I try to do a lot of small things around her.

You never really know which of those things makes an impact.

Then one evening at a drive thru, your kid looks at ten fries and thinks about her mom.

Maybe that’s what people mean when they say the seeds take time. You don’t get to watch them grow. You just get the occasional surprise when something pokes through.

I’ll happily keep losing the fries pact if this is what comes back.

It’s a #specialorder indeed.

Thank you so much to everyone who came forward to support our little initiative for Nori’s 4th birthday.

For those who missed it, every year we try to use Nori’s birthday to support a cause that means something to us.

This year, we chose to shine a light on @assisi_hospice's @giving.sg #ClicksForComfort campaign, supporting patients who wish to be cared for at home, surrounded by the people they love. This particular cause is especially close to our hearts this year.

It’s amazing how so many of you didn’t think twice and simply came forward to support us.

Little Nori probably has no idea yet that she has the power to make the world a little better. But somehow, at just 4, she already does.

And if you donated without letting me know, your name might not be here, but thank you so much too.

以前總覺得，這些節日和傳統會一直都在。

長大後發現，其實沒有什麼東西會自己被留下來。

一個傳統能不能繼續，可能就只是因為每一代的人，都願意再做一次。

所以今年，我們提燈籠。明年，也希望還會。

不是因為一定要多有儀式感，只是希望有一天她們長大後，也會記得中秋節曾經是這樣的。

To those of you who have been patiently waiting for me…

Don’t count me out just yet.

I’m not done with music.

I’m just in a time of my life where other things need more of me right now.

And to every musician, artist, songwriter and friend who has trusted us enough to step into something that, honestly, we were still figuring out ourselves…

Thank you.

You really had no reason to trust us other than our word, but somehow, you guys kept showing up, believing in what we were trying to build, and giving us your support.

I just hope that in return, we’ve managed to give you good music, meaningful opportunities, great memories, and friendships and relationships that last way beyond the songs.

Maybe my relationship with music never disappeared.

Maybe it just became less about what I could create for myself…

and more about what I could help create around me.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t still music in me waiting for its turn. by @derrickhoh

Celebrating Pokémon TCG’s 30th anniversary launch at the grand opening of @kingsroadvault.

Pokémon grew up and then money entered the chat.

Buying one or two packs from Comic Realms after school with our pocket money became five figure cards, population reports, livestream breaks and massive queues.

So I wasn’t sure what to expect from @kingsroadvault, possibly Singapore’s most luxurious Pokémon card store.

There were vintage packs, graded grails and Pokémon cards paired with luxury watches.

The place certainly looked the part... and it was.

But speaking to some of the people behind the place - Justin, Laura and Jean revealed something less intimidating.

Justin spoke about collecting with his children. Laura lit up while discussing illustrators and the artwork behind individual cards. Jean’s enthusiasm extended beyond the displays to the video games and wider Pokémon universe.

Later, we opened the freshly launched 30th anniversary set in their private lounge with some old and new friends.

Everyone gathered around, watched each pull and cheered together.

Yes, the room was fancier and the chairs were nicer…

But it was still as nerdy as it gets.

Perhaps cards didn’t need to become less valuable.

Perhaps the hobby just needed different kinds of spaces for different kinds of collectors.

Six months with Shari and we’ve already gone through so many little stages.

From her newborn days, to napping on me while I work, and now sitting up and starting puree.

What a milestone!

We’ve also been using the @bugaboosea_ #BugabooGiraffe we got from @motherswork throughout these stages, starting with the Newborn Set, then using it with the Rocker Frame, and now finally with the Baby Set + Tray as her high chair.

Quite cute seeing one chair change along with her.
