🚨Gas is still High!🚨

Even with Governor Kemp’s gas tax pause, prices at the pump are STILL way too damn high!

*According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the gasoline prices increased 34.2% over the 12-month period ending September 2026.

This conflict with Iran and rising cost of living are bleeding working families dry—from the grocery store to our monthly bills (ie, rent, child care, utilities, etc.).

Enough is enough!

It is CRITICAL that we get out and VOTE to flip Washington DC blue and flip Georgia blue for the greater good of all our families!

It's frustrating seeing turnout lag behind the real pain and anger people are feeling.

Remember the incredible early voting energy in 2022—and the results of statewide races.

Let's channel that same drive and push even harder to make our voices heard this time!

Honored to return to Morehouse College today as a guest lecturer alongside my mentor and former
State Representative, Roger Bruce!
🏛️📚
We had an inspiring and dynamic session engaging with the sharp young leaders of Morehouse, diving deep into the realities of public policy, political science, and the evolving political landscape here in Georgia.

Passing the torch of knowledge and experience to the next generation of changemakers is always a privilege.

The future of leadership in our state is exceptionally bright!

It amazes me that people are still contemplating who to vote for and talking about needing to do more research. 😵‍💫 Or better yet, they are not going to vote BLUE all-the-way-through.

Look, I completely agree with doing your homework before heading to the polls.

But early voting here in Georgia started on October 13th, and our primary was back on May 19—nearly 5 months ago!

The options are clear, and the research is done ✅

To help make things simple, take a look at the graphics attached to this post.

Let them guide your choice, whether you decide to vote straight-ticket Democrat or Republican from top to bottom.
🚨No split-ticket, because it doesn’t make sense!🚨

📣 For my family and me, we are voting Blue down the “entire” ticket. 💪🏾💙

This country is heading in the wrong direction—leaving families behind and hitting us hard where it hurts most, from grocery store aisles to gas pumps.

The affordability crisis, this ridiculous war with Iran, these horrible tariffs, widespread corruption in DC, and the unfit and unqualified leadership of this current administration are the main reasons why —
I’m voting Blue!

Know before you vote: Georgia’s Constitutional Amendments 🗳️
Three amendments are on your ballot this year. The official wording can be dense, so we broke each one down in plain language: what it does, why it was proposed, and what a “yes” or “no” vote means.

Swipe through to see:
➡️ Amendment 1: Bona Fide Conservation Use Property
➡️ Amendment 2: Nonpartisan Probate Judges
➡️ Amendment 3: Next Generation 9-1-1 Fund

📌 Please note: These are plain-language summaries to help voters understand each question. They are not the official ballot text. To see the full wording, go to My Voter Page (MVP) at mvp.sos.ga.gov to view your sample ballot, or find it on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website.

Don’t skip the bottom of your ballot. Vote the whole ballot!

🚨We need to protest against the Pentagon’s plans to Live stream a public execution in December.🛑

Transforming state execution into live entertainment, like a Hollywood movie, doesn't deliver justice—it degrades our humanity.

The Pentagon's decision to livestream an execution isn't about accountability or honoring victims—it's a dangerous descent into spectacle.

Converting state violence into broadcast content desensitizes society, cheapens the rule of law, and mistakes barbaric performance for strength.

True justice maintains moral high ground and respects the solemnity of human life.

Capital punishment has no place in a modern, moral society.

Turning execution into public media undermines the fundamental dignity of human life and the core values of a civilized nation.

Take a look at this photo. Why isn’t something like this more common? This is why independent journalism matters. This is why NVN thrives. I use my platform to have conversations that you will not hear or see anywhere else. Today, we hosted a special: Black Men Vote. We featured voices who have waited years for the mainstream to care enough about them to call, but the phone never rang. I see my role clearly. I am meant to be in this independent space so I can have conversations like this. Thank you to my guests today for a very special report ahead of the midterms. There are no superheroes coming to save us. So we became the superheroes the world needs. #NickValenciaNews #SiSePuede #blackandbrown #solidarity by @derrickjackson

If you don’t think your vote, matters, watch our show today. I’m proud of the lineup that we put together. With the midterms approaching, we focus on voting. Our virtual roundtable will be co-anchored by prominent Atlanta Community Organizer Scotty Smart. The new author will help me with this important conversation, which will feature a former president of Georgia’s NAACP, a past president of the National Bar Association, a one time candidate for Georgia Secretary of State, a progressive leader in the South who ran for mayor, and current Georgia State House Rep. Derrick Jackson. Black Men Vote. Plus, I’ll talk to media tech executive and founder of TANTV News about our new partnership ahead of the 2026 midterms. We’ll close out our special 2-hour show featuring a story of redemption, navigating the criminal justice system with Alejandro Zavala. He’s the co-writer and producer of the new legal thriller starring Terrence Howard. It’s always a big show on NVN live but today is really special. Your vote matters and if you don’t think it does listen to these voices, tell you why. -

On October 4th, we showed up on Auburn Avenue.
The day before Georgia’s voter registration deadline, we brought the community, the coalition, and the culture together at The King Center. And what happened on those steps was something I will carry with me.
We registered voters, told our stories for the Library of Congress, an heard from some of the most powerful civic voices in Georgia. And we did it all together.
This is what the Griot Collective Community Foundation was built for. Not just events or programming, but Infrastructure, Power, and Legacy.
To every partner, every speaker, every soror, every brother, every volunteer, every community member who showed up, thank you.
The work is not done, it is just beginning.
