I feel generally pretty content until I see someone else doing epic sh*t. Then suddenly, my world doesn’t seem so shiny. I find myself chasing someone else’s dream, not even sure it’s mine. Often find myself in “the dream,” and I miss my hammock and cats. Am I insane, or can I blame @diplo by @dersurhodes

I’d visited Ojai many times, but never played there until last weekend. Over the past 6 months especially, people kept randomly asking me when I was finally going to DJ there… so when the call came from my LA transplant brothers @peaceinoise ( @ibekennyp & @dersurhodes ) everything felt aligned.✨
What I didn’t realize was that part of the reason I hadn’t been seeing some friends around LA as much lately… is because many of them had quietly relocated to Ojai. So last Saturday at @radioromaojai ended up feeling less like a gig and more like a family reunion. A packed house, beautiful energy, and such a special first dance with the community. I’m honestly still feeling the (((buzzz)))
Thank you to everyone who came through and made your presence felt from start to finish. The love in that room was undeniable, and I have a feeling we’ll be seeing each other again very soon. 💯🪩🙌🏾
It was also really special to share quiet moments with friends outside of the party. Thank you for reminding me that Ojai isn’t actually that far away for what I receive in return by being able to share space with you all. Safe to say there’s about to be a serious uptick in visits. 😉⬆️

And I can’t help but feel like the place I stayed played a role in the magic of the weekend. (Thank you Serge 🙏🏾) Being hosted on that sacred land, surrounded by so much natural beauty and those majestic creatures, reset my nervous system upon arrival.
Being there on Mother’s Day while missing my mom ❤️🕊️, felt emotionally soothing and added extra meaning to the weekend. I felt supported, nurtured and restored.
Can’t wait to come back with our daughter Naia. She’s going to be over the moon. 🚀🌕🐢

Because I’ve been dealing with some health issues lately, I’ve had to be careful with what I eat when I’m road-tripping.

Instead of eating unhealthy gas station food, I bring along @seatopia sashimi-grade salmon wrapped in paper towels, and placed in the top section of my cooler so they stay dry.

Then I pull over, find a spot in nature, heat up a skillet, toss in the salmon, and do a quick sear with salt and some pepper. This paired with some greens or an avocado is so filling and delicious and I can be back on the road in a flash. taken in Sierra National Forest by @dersurhodes

“Breathing Wild”. For @thechriskeener‘s bday we headed into the hills for a breathwork ceremony. I had been feeling really stuck and sad over the last few months after spending 16 days in bed with one of the craziest flus of my life. Being able to breath and share this experience with friends shook me out of my yuck. by @dersurhodes
