Join the full thirty-piece Derwent Brass, led by Music Director Jack Capstaff, for A Night to Remember — a powerful Festival of Remembrance concert combining stirring brass music with reflection and tribute to those who have given their lives in conflict.

This much-valued annual event balances uplifting and engaging music with moments of solemn commemoration, with all proceeds in support of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

This year’s programme reflects on key moments of remembrance across generations, marking 110 years since the Battle of the Somme and 35 years since the Gulf War, whilst also recognising the service and sacrifice of those who served during Operation TELIC.

Through music and reflection, the concert honours the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community across generations, whilst recognising the enduring importance of remembrance in today’s world.

This event is kindly supported by Jepson Funerals Limited, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

THANK YOU BELPER 🌟

We’ve had a fabulous few days of concerts this weekend, with our “Summer Proms” at St Peter’s church yesterday, and today playing at Belper River Gardens today - Thank you to everyone who came and supported!

We’d also like to thank Keith Leonard, who took hold of the reigns over the last few weeks, leading us to our concert yesterday, and we welcome back Jack Capstaff as we move throughout the rest of the summer season ☀️

Missed us this weekend? You can catch us and Radcliffe Male Choir together at our joint concert next Saturday at The Cotgrave Club, Nottingham 🎵

Not the result we were looking for yesterday, but the band received a huge number of compliments on our performance, managing to win the favour of more than a few commentators and audience members! Unfortunately, the adjudicators weren’t of the same opinion. We were very happy, however, that we put out the performance we had in the bandroom! All our players put on a great show and under the direction of our MD Jack Capstaff, put out a truly musical performance.

We will now enjoy a week off before getting into concert season. We have a new project underway as we look to expand our contesting prowess.

🏆 A week on since our win at the fantastic ConsTest:! We have received so many messages of support and congratulations on our socials so we wanted to share this snippet from the Finale of Music Of The Spheres.

🩰We are now underway with our preparation for Ballet Band next at the Spring Festival, this year held in Birmingham Town Hall.

And of course, @eleanorgracec and the whole team who help make the big wheel turn — we couldn’t do it without you 🙌 La Voce Events by @derwentbrass
