Refinishing an existing wide-plank European Oak hardwood floor in Manhattan Beach, CA. THANK YOU to the Lupton Family for the opportunity to work in their home. Always a great time working in MB. we hit this floor with @lobawakolusa sealer and finishes. We also suplementos each cost with their Whitner. Installation project completed locally here in Torrance. We removed old strip oak and re-fastened the 1 x 5 boards to the joists and installed 3/4” plywood and then our engineered hardwood. No more hollow foot steps or creaking. Nail and glue troweled installation along with 5” minimalist baseboards are complete. Thanks for the opportunity, Nate!

I’m at a loss for words after learning of the passing of @callmetito . I got to meet the famous Tito back in 2018 when he visited here in LA and a couple other times after. He left a big impression on me and had such a positive mentality that easily rubbed off on everyone he met. Including myself. He’d randomly call me during the pandemic to see how It was doing and always giving me pointers and advice organically just being a good person wanting to see the working man succeed. I wasn’t close to the guy but I can easily say he’s one of those rare breed of souls that were put on this earth to make it a better place for those who got to meet him while he was with us. My condolences to his Loba family, his family and friends who I can only image what they’re going through. Thanks for everything Tito. Even in your passing, you made me realize not to hesitate to go for something regardless of what people think. I haven’t played guitar and sung in a while so this one’s for you, Tito! taken in Los Angeles, California by @design.tech.custom.flooring

It’s been a tough grind lately. Not backing down. Not selling out. Integrity always wins.

Saw @daytonhardwoodco post something like this a while back and got inspired. Today we started sanding some parquet walnut flooring in Westwood. We cross cut with 36 grit @nortonabrasivesna reheat to flatten this floor nicely.

Look At It Closely!
We’re back on Centinela installing White Oak Rift & Quarter Sawn in another room. We were here last year and installed and site finished three rooms. Now we’re doing the fourth room very soon. Letting this floor sit and acclimate until we come back to start. Stay tuned.

Scratch the surface and you’ll find the truth. If you want to find true natural beauty in hardwood floors, you’ll need integrity to get them. If you know what you’re doing, then you’ll have nothing to hide. Integrity is beautiful.
