it’s been two years since @maya_ishshalom published her book “home bound”, a silent book that hits home like no other. and it’s been a year since i visited maya, my favorite visual storyteller, in her bright studio, in order to collect signed copies for my very own homies. to say that i fell in love with maya is an understatement.
so… a studio break with maya ish-shalom is what the doctor ordered.

it’s been so long since i shared some of my all-time favorite spots around san francisco. back then, i used my favorite hashtag of them all, #mysanfranciscobreak, almost every week. it’s time to bring it back to life!

last week, when i had to drown my sorrows, i found myself at @maybaumgallery, immersing myself in @nadiayaron’s “still flowering” solo exhibition. nadia states that she is inspired by the wisdom of flowers and while examining at her rock steady flowers, i could almost hear a silent whisper of hope. a reminder that even after the harshest weeks, new life will still find a way to bloom. what can i say, a girl can dream… // #mysanfranciscobreak #artsf taken in San Francisco, California by @designbreak
