This handcrafted, one of a kind pearl necklace is one of those. Creamy white freshwater pearls, hand-knotted on red silk, finished with an artisan ceramic medallion washed in red and white by my talented friend Ronda @indigo_designs_by_ronda
Simple. Grounded. Quietly striking.

It’s the kind of necklace you reach for when you want to feel pulled together without trying too hard. Jeans and a white button-up. A little black dress. Bare feet in the kitchen or heels out the door. It meets you where you are.

I love pieces like this because they remind me that making a statement doesn’t have to be loud. Sometimes it’s about choosing what feels right and letting that be enough.

Ease can be a statement too.

👋 Hi! I'm Kelly, the creative force behind Designed 2 Adorn. Here are some fun facts about me!
🌟 My favorite color is purple 💜.
🌟 I love pearls. To me, they are timeless and classic. I use them in my designs as often as I can.
🌟 My dad was an artist 🎨. I credit my appreciation for art and artistic talent to the many art show experiences he shared with me as I was growing up. He's the reason I'm passionate about being creative.
🌟 Spring is my favorite season 🌷. Winter is my least favorite ❄️.
🌟 My full time job is caring for my special needs son, Zach. He reminds me every day to find joy in the little things 💙 and that life is so much more complicated than it should be!
🌟 I am a cat girl 🐺. My fuzzy little girl is Rosie. She's nearly 20 years old. She does tricks for cat snacks and she loves the sun ☀️ as much as I do.

Some jewelry has presence the moment you put it on. This is definitely one of those pieces. 🩶

There’s something about stormy grey that gets me. Not black, not white, but somewhere beautifully in between. These cloudy quartz stones have a moody, almost atmospheric quality, with soft white drifting through the grey. Chic, a little mysterious, and anything but ordinary.

Graduated from larger stones at the front to smaller ones at the back, with faceted black hematite adding depth and a silver toggle to finish it off, this necklace has a lovely substantial feel, too. It’s a statement in size, texture, and sheer presence, without needing to shout for attention.

And sometimes, isn’t that exactly what you want? A piece that feels bold without being flashy. Sophisticated without feeling fussy. Something that catches the eye, holds its own, and feels completely at home with your personal style.

You don't always need more color or more detail. Sometimes, a little stormy grey says it all. ✨

A little mystery, a little romance, a spark of warmth, and just enough edge to keep things interesting. 💜🖤🩷🧡

That's what I love about this bracelet.

Rich purple, soft pink, fiery orange, and grounding black come together with sterling silver details and a little bat charm that adds a playful touch of magic. 🦇

And the colors? They came from a fellow artist's paper creation. One little creative conversation, and suddenly I was imagining those same colors in an entirely different way. Funny how inspiration works, isn't it? Sometimes it finds us when we're simply admiring what someone else has created.

Maybe that's true of personal style, too. You can have your favorite colors, your familiar go-to pieces, and still find yourself drawn to something unexpected. Something that catches your eye, makes you look twice, and feels just a little different from what you'd usually choose.

Maybe that's part of the fun of leaving a little room for the unexpected. ✨

Apparently I wasn't finished playing with this idea... 😉

I had so much fun making my last five-strand bracelet that I couldn't quite leave the idea alone.

So I started playing with color again.

No grand plan. Just a few colors that felt good together, a little experimenting, and that familiar moment when you step back and think, Yep. That's it.

This one feels energetic in the best way.

And maybe that's one of my favorite parts of creating. Sometimes you don't need to know exactly where an idea is going. You just need to be curious enough to follow it a little farther.

Do you love jewelry that feels feminine and beautiful without ever feeling fussy?

Do you ever come across something and think, Where have you been all my life?

There’s something about the warm, earthy colors of Red Creek Jasper that feels especially good right now. Rust, cream, soft gray, a little copper. Colors that feel grounded and easy, but never boring.

Simple and effortless? Done.

Rich mookaite in all those beautiful autumnal shades, warm brass, and a little golden bee come together in a necklace that feels grounded, feminine, and quietly energized.

Have you ever surprised yourself by loving something you wouldn't normally choose?

Maybe it's a color you don't usually wear. A combination you wouldn't have thought to put together. Or simply something that catches your eye for no particular reason other than...

I like that.

I like to pay attention to those moments.

I recently followed a little curiosity about color and turned the palette into five delicate strands of Czech glass.

And I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the result.

The colors are bold, but the tiny beads keep the bracelet feeling soft and understated. There's a little silver scattered throughout, just enough to catch the light and bring everything together.

And maybe that's exactly why I love it.

There's something fun about following a little spark of curiosity and seeing where it takes you.

You can have a style you love and still make room for something unexpected.

You can simply see something that makes you stop and think, Yes. That's beautiful.
