Take a walk, through this master ensuite - a truly luxurious wing on the second floor of this Beaches new build. Clean, calm and carry on… 🤍

Archival Chic, inspired by Anastasia’s free-hand architectural drawings - we wanted to create a clean Mediterranean feel and incorporate colours, florals and vintage pieces that add old-world influence to this master ensuite renovation.

GET TO KNOW ME – Part 1
After working full time for other people my entire career, this year I finally took the leap.
I started my own business.
It’s been one of the most vulnerable, creatively fulfilling, and challenging steps I’ve taken but I knew it was time. I wanted to build something that truly reflects who I am, what I love, and how I work.
Around the same time, my friend Olivia Steinman @oliviasteinmanphotographs after raising three amazing kids, was ready to step back into her own creative passion: photography.
We got together to collaborate, support each other, and make something personal.
These images were born out of that shared moment.
And for me, they became the perfect way to introduce myself to this community. by @designemployee

Sometimes a styling decision is knowing when a space has everything it needs.
A gesture of green (Kangaroo Fern), and daylight catching the movement and shape of the leaves. Just enough to draw your eye, then let it wander through the stone’s materiality, the craftsmanship and ultimately the use of space.

The culprit, a delay on these custom designed bed side tables… worth the wait.

When the whole team is inspired, latest work with @victoria_malanowski shooting film @staceycohendesign finishing her favourite project & @designemployee along for the ride 😉 by @designemployee

From plans and elevations, initial walk throughs and accessory planning… working around custom pieces and lead times - sometimes we have to come back and shoot a space months after the original shoot.
Careful planning and adjusting timeline’s is all part of the game. End result for this beautiful foyer and her office.

After a designer finishes a project, finding the best image to capture the interior with florals and accessories is all trial and error. When you've done it enough, styling becomes second nature - It's been five years since @staceycohendesign wrapped this project up. A modern office with a nod to mid century, lil rock and a little roll. 📷 @joel_esposito #stylist #designemployee by @designemployee

Styling isn’t finished until the flowers arrive. . . an ode to the beauty they bring. 😍 by @designemployee

LINE
Art Nouveau ironwork.

FORM
Passionflower. Strange, architectural, almost alien.

ATMOSPHERE
The kind of room that feels inherited rather than decorated.

EDIT
The power of restraint.

TENSION
This is what I love about styling, things that shouldn’t necessarily belong together somehow making each other better.

MATERIAL
Architecture becoming atmosphere rather than decoration.

FASHION
Elevated branding using space/design/architecture

CONTRAST
Monumental and quiet.

SOFTNESS
Filtered sunlight, soft moths and eggs?

REMINDERS
A good quote goes a long way.

things I’ve been looking at lately. by @designemployee

Strong lines.
A dining space grounded in material richness… marble, matte brass, textured stone, and tailored scale.
Executed with balance and clarity for a truly elevated masculine feel.
