Pro Tip : if your lighting doesnt look right, take a look at it in greyscale. The trick is to find the right contrast between all the values of the greyscale. Make sure you dont have patches of all black (under exposed) or all white (over exposed). In most cases, the more the contrast, the more dramatic your lighting is.

Throughout conversations with students, interns & juniors, I noticed that a lot of young designers assume that they can’t draw properly.
Nowadays sketching isn’t necessarily a designers most important skill - indeed non of these sketches is perfect but they aren’t even supposed to be... the aspiration is to communicate and visualise strains of thought.
Therefore it’s enough to adopt adequate sketching skills and - much more important - not being afraid of communication.
Even bad ideas can lead others to great concepts.
