Nothing humbles a designer like measuring ceiling heights 🫠

Laser or not, it’s never flattering. Cute left the chat.

How many times have we all walked a job site being totally put together and carrying conversations through site review... while completely unaware of the drywall dust we’re accidentally wearing for the rest of the day? lol 🫠✨

A hidden speakeasy tucked into Washington, DC crafted with intention from the ground up. This multi-phase restaurant project brought together custom millwork, tailored furniture, and rich finishes to create a space that feels both timeless and intimate.

Working closely with suppliers, logistics teams, and design collaborators, Dalia made sure every detail from shop drawings to final installations landed exactly where it needed to.

Even if it meant flipping a giant wall panel sample…😇
Orientation is one of many details to look at during sourcing and selecting finishes and materials.

It’s always a highlight seeing clients trust the process and feel genuinely happy as they make confident decisions. ✨❤️

PS to suppliers: please reach out when designing your next showrooms. Just putting it out there 😂🫶🏼

A 1970s condo lobby redesigned for modern accessibility, clear circulation, and updated building standards.

What was once out of code is now a barrier‑free, elevated entrance designed for everyday condo traffic.
Improved flow, brighter lighting, durable materials, and a layout that finally works.

A dining corner that feels like an invitation.

Using soft lines, a timeless finishes palette, millwork aligned with intention, and lighting that gently highlights the moment.

I often tell my clients, asking questions isn’t overthinking. It’s how you stay aligned, informed, and protected throughout a new construction process.

It’s a completely new world, and it’s easy to be misled or rushed into choices when you don’t know what you’re looking at.

New construction comes with layers most people have never dealt with before structural decisions, builder standards, permits, electrical and HVAC plans, plumbing rough‑ins, timelines, inspections, and a hundred details that shape how your space actually functions.

You’re not supposed to know all of this.

Working with a designer helps guide, advocate, clarify, and make sure every decision supports the project you’re building. 🙏🏼✨

A wise contractor will advise you on getting an interior designer involved, because design shouldn’t be an afterthought. Respecting design time is what lets you properly strategize and plan your project.

You should know, a full home renovation means making decisions that multiply every hour. Every choice affects the next. Layouts, detail alignment, proportions, or final finishes. Nothing stands alone.

Everything is truly intertwined, working in harmony, and sometimes we need to weigh decisions to see where the home gains more presence.

In condo buildings, the first interaction often happens at the security desk, a small moment of welcome and safety. The lobby is where the feeling of home truly begins.

This transformation focused on reshaping the lobby into an extension of the residents’ homes, a space that feels warm and lived in rather than just a pass‑through.

Other upgrades throughout the building included bringing in fresh air, enhancing the lighting, and improving the overall structure to support a healthier, more comfortable environment for everyone who lives and visits here.

Our scope included full interior design and complete project management, guiding every detail from concept and finishes to furnishings, coordination, and execution.

It’s only one area of the overall project, yet it sets the tone for everything that follows. The result is a thoughtful arrival experience that carries intention, comfort, and a genuinely happy client at the end of this renovation journey.
