FW23 Introduced @merrell_1trl second iteration of ‘The Trail That Came Before’.

Games of strategy and chance have always brought people together.

From chess in the parks of our cities, to cards being played around the world.

We took these traditional games and the players to the trail. Capturing the contrast between city game players and the wilderness of the trail.

As cities became increasingly overcrowded, inhabitants looked for new ways to connect with the natural world.

The first chapter of ‘The Trail That Came Before’ by @merrell_1trl introduces the Pigeon flyers of Brooklyn, a subculture that plays out on the rooftops of New York City, disconnected from the chaos below.

A pleasure and a privilege to get the opportunity to tell the story of these Brooklyn pigeon flyers. @tangentagency doing what they do best. Big thanks to the team for smashing this one.
