To Bear - 🐻
You were my world. For 13 years you and I did the damn thing. We went everywhere together…literally. We moved across the country 8 times, you lived in 3 states, and traveled to over a dozen. You burned down our house, put your head through windows and broke out on more occasions than I’d like to admit. You were the definition of freedom.
And in return you made me free. I was free to be just myself: my worst self, my best self, my weird self.
But the best part is you had this energy - anyone that met you was immediately obsessed with you (there were a few you tortured I won’t lie) … but everyone knew you were special.
You were insanely intelligent, funny, emotional, loyal, loving, dynamic and above all you gave it your all, all the time; until your last breath.
Thank you for growing up with me, for accepting me in all my forms, for helping me when I couldn’t help myself, for loving me when I didn’t love myself, for trusting me when I couldn’t trust myself, protecting me when my only job was to protect you. Thank you for teaching me selflessness, for slowing me down while making sure we were always going 100 miles an hour. Thank you for choosing me - the moment we met and every second after it.
I miss you to the point of exhaustion, it hurts waking up in the morning without you.
I hope what they say is true and you’re in your best puppy form, following me in spirit, no longer in pain.
I will never not miss you, I will never understand how absolutely perfect you were.
I will continue to call your name, and talk to you, and sing you annoying songs. Please come visit me, I’ll keep the bed warm for you.

It still feels like yesterday. Thank you to all of our friends and family who traveled, celebrated, and supported us. We love you all and miss you already.
