10 Years | Part 2. ✨

On November 23, 2025, in the presence of only our closest friends, we renewed our vows on the date we had always dreamed of getting married to celebrate 10 years of saying yes to each other. When we first started dating, we always talked about how important it was to celebrate both the big and small moments as a way to cherish what it is we’ve created together. So when it came to our marriage, we made it a point to renew our vows on 11.23 each year as a way to stay intentional about the promises we made to one another.

And this last year, we decided to throw a party alongside it with some of the best friends we have made over these last 10 years. It was such a special weekend that we will never forget. We are so grateful for our chosen family, all the lessons we have learned, all the laughter we have shared, and all the beautiful memories we’ve had the privilege of making together.

I’d marry you every single time, Ryan Christopher. I choose you today and every day — forever. And I am so proud of us. The amount of work, therapy, tears, and laughter it has taken to get here… only we know. But we are doing it, and I would not want to do this with anyone else. Thank you for being the best teammate there ever was. I love you.

Let’s do it again in another 10 years, yeah? But next time, let’s PLEASE just go on a nice trip, because this was THE most stressful party I’ve ever planned and I never want to do it again. 😂🖤✨

10 Years | Part 1. ✨

Class of ‘26.🎓✨

Ryan Christopher Machus — YOU DID IT.

After feeling like this day would never come, it finally did. And I am endlessly proud of you, Boobie. I’ve had the privilege of standing beside you through every late night, every stressful exam, every moment of doubt, and every win along the way. And I know it may not fully feel real yet, but you have come SO far, Ry. You faced every class, every obstacle, and every challenge head-on, sometimes while working two jobs, and you never gave up. You didn’t just finish — you finished strong AND WITH HONORS. Watching your determination, dedication, resilience, and joy throughout this journey has been one of the most inspiring things I have ever witnessed.

And Ry, this milestone represents SO much more than a degree. It represents sacrifice, growth, perseverance, and years of hard work finally paying off. You earned every second of this moment and I pray that you can really take it all in, my love.

And to every one of you who traveled all the way to Chico to celebrate this chapter with us — thank you will never feel like enough. Having our favorite people here to support and love on us meant more than we could ever put into words. We are so incredibly grateful.

10 years — 3,653 days.

On August 21, 2015, I married my best friend.

At the time, we felt so grown up and thought we were so old. But looking back, seeing two kids with no jobs and no money running off to get married probably looked insane from the outside. And yet, to this day, I still believe it was the best decision we have ever made.

We were just two human beans who wanted more than what our hometown had to offer. We wanted to travel — to see what else the world could give us, to be inspired. We wanted to finish school, chase our dreams, and help each other get where we wanted to go. Most of all, we wanted out of dysfunction, and we wanted to create a life together.

In these ten years, we’ve built a life more beautiful than I ever could have dreamed. 13 moves that always turned into home, adventures across the world that pictures could never do justice to, countless days filled with laughter until we cried, and even more quiet moments that reminded us how lucky we are to have each other — even when it’s hard, even when it sucks. And yes, we’ve had an almost comical amount of bad luck. But even still — through robberies, health battles, loss, and many dark depresso espresso days — there was always joy, because we had our person.

Ryan Christopher, you are my person. I’m so proud of the man you’ve always been, and the one you continue to choose to become. Watching you step fully into your creativity and chase what you love — while also taking the time to grow and understand yourself — has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Seeing that newfound confidence spill into every other part of your life has been the most beautiful thing to witness. But what I’m most grateful for is getting to share the mundane moments with you. It is an honor just to live every day with you — good, bad, whatever. Those are my favorite parts of every day.

We’ve built something out of nothing, and it’s the most beautiful thing I have ever, and will ever, know. I’m proud to keep figuring this wild, messy, incredible life out with you — always. the summer i said i do, always.🖤

— the best surprise, ever. a couple of weeks ago, i came down to southern california thinking i am just going to hang out with my best friend and watch the premiere of a new season of our show together. while i was there, she told me that she and i were going to have a little tea party to celebrate the fact that i am getting to renew my vows to Ryan for our 10 year anniversary this year. but little did i know that THIS is what I would walk into. 🥹 Allison and my bffs got together and not only gave me the tea party of my dreams, but also the bridal shower I never got to have 10 years ago. i still cannot put into words how seen i felt this day — the details, the letters, the games, the thoughtfulness. i am so beyond grateful.

and to my Alejandro — thank you. thank you for seeing me, for knowing that this is something i would have never asked for, but also knowing how much my heart needed it. especially lately. for going above and beyond anything i could have ever imagined. and just for being you. i’ll never be able to explain how grateful i am that you are my bestman in life — not for what you do, but who you are and everything that follows from that. my best friend is married.🥹✨

almost 17 years ago I met a girl named Allison in my 9th grade English class who invited me to go watch a new movie called Twilight with her and her sister Alex. that night we had our first sleepover and I got to hear allllllll about a boy named Kohlby. as the years have carried on, these people and their families became family — seeing each other through the highs, the lows and all the beauties in between. Allison has been my bestman, my cheerleader, a source of peace and a grounding piece of home. and one thing that has not changed all these years is the fact that Kohlby was and always will be her person. watching their love all these years has been such an honor and a privilege; and to then watch them make the decision to marry each other in the most beautiful way is a day I will never ever forget.

beyond grateful for the year we had —

And the winner is… 🎉

Never thought we’d ever be moving back to California, but as of this morning Ry has offically committed to California State University: CHICO!

Watching my best friend step into what I’ve always believed of him, watching his eyes light up as he found the program of his dreams and watching him finally believe he deserves it all has been such an honor to witness and be apart of. And even though I am not excited for the heat of Northern California, I am beyond thrilled to see what’s going to come next for this man of mine.

thank you for making my spooky dreams come true, boo.🖤👻

as our time in Colorado slowly comes to an end, I had told Ry I had a “Colorado bucket list” to do before we leave and this last weekend he surprised me with one I’ve been wanting to do for years. we finally got to see The Stanley hotel — the spooky place inspiring Stephen King to write The Shining and also the place they filmed some of one of our favorites, Dumb & Dumber. we got to tour the whole hotel, have a drink in the same bar Lloyd Christmas drowned his sorrows being stood up by Mary, and saw the most beautiful scenery. northern Colorado, you were beautiful.🖤

you did it — the day finally came. you finished your first degree and i cannot express enough how proud i am of you.

through the many trials thrown our way over the years, through constant moves, unexpected events and a tough few months, you finished AND you finished well.

i have had the absolute privilege of watching you maneuver your way through these last few years and it has been an my greatest honor to be your cheerleader. i am beyond excited to see you becoming the man you are today. it makes me so happy seeing you find your passions and becoming confident in going after your dreams.

you have the biggest brain, but you have an even bigger heart and i cannot wait to see what you choose to do with both.

you are my greatest friend and it is my life’s greatest joy to celebrate each and every milestone we get to complete together.
