Successful 3hrs of riding today on the ST4s. Headed down to @quicksiftercoffee in Wells for the 1st time and not disappointed. Nice coffee and a really nice chat with a lovely couple. 🫶🏼.
Bike ran well so it seems the issues have been resolved. May go up 3 teeth on the rear to make it easier at slower speeds and also need to reset the tps but other than that - it’s good to go…

After a looong time chasing a starting issue on this bike, checking and eliminating poss issues it got narrowed down to the ecu. Thanks to the great Ducati community I got put in touch with a chap who removed the immobiliser from the ecu….. and…..

1st press and it fired straight up!!

It was this bike last chance as I’ve sunk way too much money into it which I’ll never get back.

Weather looks dry tomorrow so let’s see if it’s actually fixed!

Warm weather had lent itself to some outside spraying action. This time some primer on the tank that’s prob gonna go on the 996. Not bad for a rattle can. Needs a bit of filler and then decisions on what colour to paint it.
St4s hasn’t been looked at in a week. Need to decide how much more time and money I’m prepared to put into it to get it running right or do I break it and give myself a chance to break even on it.🤔🤷‍♂️😬

Crank position sensor changed and correct air gap set, new ign relays.
1hr local 1st/2nd gear urban test ride and so far all ok. But we’ve been here before so we’ll go out again tomorrow.

That doesn’t look right !? Barely a couple mm clearance between new 15t front sprocket on the 900m.
Same sprocket on 750m but much more clearance. Granted alloy swing arm on 900 but still.
Sprockets are both 3cm tooth tip to spline recess.

Anyone offer any insight?

Yes!
Job done - no advisories and soon to be up for sale - £2450, 20,120mls, 2 owners, service history.
HPI clear, full Desmo service, clutch plates and basket, belts, all filters, starter clutch and starter motor, updated starter cables, battery, 3 replacement opening rockers, Pirelli angel tyres all within the last 120mls/15months.

Oh and now 12months MOT.

Lotta bike for the money.

So far so good.
45min ride down was all good - susp much better thanks to @becksbiker . Handled the slow 20/30mph sections ok as in the temp and clutch behaved.
Just wait and see what the MOT tester has to say.

Ducati marks 100yrs today.
My 1st Ducati was a 748bp that I bought in 1998 (28yrs!😱😵‍💫).
The 1st of 15(poss 16) and I’d give up all of my current ones to have that 1st one back.
