Sometimes you just need someone to come in with a new perspective. To twist the frame a little and breathe new life into what’s already there.

With the right updates, suddenly everything feels different. A whole new mood. A whole new energy. And somehow… almost unrecognizable from before.

Proof that transformation doesn’t always mean starting over.

Not every wall needs art.
Sometimes the material itself is the moment.

For this primary bedroom, we leaned into restraint and let the richness and graining of the wood paneling take center stage. A softer bed palette. Simple lighting. Space for serenity to breathe.

Because for busy parents, bedrooms should feel less like another place asking something from you… and more like a place that gives something back.

Let the three day weekend begin.

We updated this underutilized, uninspired kitchen corner into a space made for big, squished-in, fit-as-many-around-the-table-as-possible gatherings, long, luxuriously lazy mornings with coffee on repeat…

And everything in between.

I love delivering spaces my clients hadn’t even dreamed of; places that are not only beautiful to the eye but deeply nurturing to live in. When a home supports you and inspires you, that’s when design really matters.

Does your home feel the way you want it to?
If not, let’s talk. ✨

*song fits the vibe so well (and we all love @haimtheband 👊)— just ignore that it’s titled Los Angeles ;)

@desmonddesignstudio contacted me almost a year ago (we met for what was to be a quick coffee meet up to discuss working together, and ended up chatting for hours!) We spent yesterday at one of her projects and as I anticipated, we mesh so well artistically as well as personally. I love how her brain works and I can’t wait to share more of her interiors with you.

Ps- the texture, mood and tone of this project are my spirit animals. by @desmonddesignstudio

Still life with @desmonddesignstudio. 🍊 by @desmonddesignstudio

When these clients set out to build their dream home high in the mountains, they wanted it to feel purposeful, warm, and truly THEIRS. Together, we created a home that feels beautifully connected to the land AND to their hearts and soul.
If you’re about to start your own build and aren’t sure where to begin, let’s make something beautiful together!

About two months have passed since shooting the magical Brentwood project I wrapped—and I’m still completely obsessed. Not just with the final design and what we created, but with the relationships built along the way. First with the homeowners but then those two days with Amy and Stephanie of @nativehousephotography were pure joy—when you’re speaking the same creative language and collaborating with incredible people, life really doesn’t get much better.

BTS of this moody Nashville home, designed by the talented @desmonddesignstudio out of Boulder, CO. Warm wood tones, nuanced light, and a whole lot of attention to detail.

This is the part most people don’t see, me mapping the light, tweaking shadows, analyzing every frame in real time to make sure we’re capturing the space exactly how it feels.

If you’re a designer in the Nashville area and curious about what a shoot day looks like, here you go. Intentional, collaborative, and focused on elevating your vision.
