๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŒฟ Meet the founder and owner of D'Essential Oils - Diya. A Happy, Healthy, Natural Living Lifestyle essential oils brand founded in 2021. Diya began her brandโ€™s journey by studying a course in Aromatherapy - Using Essential Oils for Natural Living, in December 2020. Diya found peace and tranquility spending time in her Mumโ€™s lovely garden during the lockdown. She developed an interest in gardening, and found a romance for sketching and watercolour painting during that time. She had already been using aromatherapy products for years, and has been incorporating oilโ€™s into her self care routines for mindfulness, meditation and wellbeing practices. With Wellbeing and Mental health being at the forefront of such a tough time for everyone, it was tapping into some self care activities, using essential oils, cooking nutritious meals, nature walks, yoga, talking therapy and fitness activities that has been helping her & her family to get through such difficult times in recent times of bareavement, grief, mental health, while supporting family & friends โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’• Enthusiastic about Aromatherapy, Diya has branched her career further and completed studying for her Diploma in July 2023, and hopes to take her expertise further in the field of consultancy and business mentoring with her brand. Diya views herself as a strong small business start-up and entrepreneur in the growing Health & Beauty Cosmetic Wellbeing industry, and she is excited to welcome you on this amazing journey. An absolute honour and highlight of this week for the founder of D'Essential Oils - Diya Sewrutton. Shortlisted for sole/micro trader of the year sponsored by London City Airport, awarded by Newham Business Awards 2022 - @newhamchamber Thanks family for supporting and for our beloved garden which has been a natural healer. I give thanks for the growth and all that I have achieved. The journey throughout the pandemic up until now has been challenging, living with grief, self healing, support carer for family, no business funding, self education to understand the cosmetic regulations and industry, cosmetic testing, sourcing eco friendly suppliers for the packaging, insurances, trade approved equipment, design patents, business trademarking, accounting, studying, pushing boundaries, opening doors, trading online and in the community, helping to improve the health of others naturally, connecting with and helping other businesses, supporting initiatives through people participation with the NHS, becoming a Newham Community Volunteer to joining the Newham Chamber of Commerce where I've networked with other businesses to build and grow my skills. I say all that to say this, I'm truly grateful and it has taught me so much about being resillent through it all, being a woman of colour in business, the importance of representation, equality and inclusion in the community and how to manage my own mental health better in order for me to support others with poor mental & physical health ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ Thank you.
