I end up showing this stretch to my clients almost daily!
This is great for literally everything. Our bodies naturally slouch from forward function so this helps a ton to correct our posture. I see a lot of clients who type at a desk all day, and some who are pregnant/nursing. My roommate @olgaislandgirl is a certified freediver, so she was practicing with me in the background 😅 yes!! This stretch can also increase your lung capacity!! When I say it's good for everything, it's good for eeeeverything!

I hate long posts but Wow! This is a wild memory for me.
Simply because it's crazy how much can happen in such a short amount of time and how much I've changed.
For those who don't know, I've had cancer twice. This time was round 2, DCIS (AKA Ductal Carcinoma In Situ AKA state zero AKA first possible development.)
Don't worry, I'm still in remission!

I had just completed 2 years of surgeries and immunotherapy for stage 3 metastatic melanoma due to long term effects of life long sunburning and damage that started since I was a child. It was in the area that I can't reach to apply sunscreen, right between my shoulder blades. Not that I cared to even wear sunscreen. I WANTED to burn (almost weekly) because even though it was painful and I would peel, I got to be tan.
(YES Wear your sunscreen kids!)
I had watched the cancer growing and I kept putting off seeing a dermatologist.
Call it denial, call it broke.. either way. I waited way too long (6 years or so) to get it taken care of.

Fast forward to graduating immunotherapy, by then I was in my 40's so I decided it was a good idea to get a mammogram.
It was flagged.
It's normal to have calcification spots in your breasts, but when they start "clustering" or gathering around a specific area, that's how they know something is concerning.
A few weeks later, I had a biopsy. Your spoiler was at the beginning of this post, DCIS with 99% progesterone and estrogen positive.

Somehow, I felt much more prepared this time. I was mostly alone when I had my first diagnosis and game plan. My 2 roommates at the time were the epitome of petty "mean girls" and my family was so far away. I had friends who were supportive and medically trained neighbors who were graciously willing to help.
I have aunts, uncles, cousins, who specifically work in the cancer field or have had cancer themselves, and they didn't mind my hundreds of questions.

Another one of my proud babies, and the only one with an official name lol. I got this baby at Punahou Carnival as just a 12" sapling and only had 2 fruit one other time but the twins didn't make it. I'm so happy she's thriving again and producing!!
Do you want to see more of my garden? I have like 40 potted plants 😆
