We hand our fingers crossed that the weather would ease up after the hurricane coming all the way up the state! Then we get here and it’s that constant annoying drizzle and we were both a little nervous at first (more Chianne than me 😆) but the rain went away pretty much as soon as we started! And even in overcast, we got some great photos 😍 taken in Cherokee Rock Village by @dessieclewis

A Tuesday wedding isn’t common, but it’s one I know I’ll carry with me for a long time. 🤍

I’ve loved every wedding I’ve ever had the honor of photographing, but there was something especially meaningful about this one.

It wasn’t just beautiful, it was intentional.

The speeches were filled with thoughtful words about marriage - not just love one another, but choosing each other every single day.

The ceremony was filled with scripture, prayer, and God’s presence as they made a covenant to walk through life together.

All weddings are beautiful. But some just leave you with a reminder of why marriage is so sacred.

When the wind shows up uninvited and somehow makes the photo better. Hair everywhere, imperfect poses, golden light, and a ring that still somehow steals the show.

Traveled 5 hours, hiked .9 miles up a mountain with questionable terrain, fought the SHINNING sun and the WINDIEST of winds...but my goodness at the photos we achieved 😍

I’m so happy for Ashley & JC! I cannot wait for their wedding in August!

Things I’d like you to know, family session edition! 💛

As a mom of 3 kiddos myself, I promise you don’t have to get in front of my camera and think I expect perfection. My goal isn’t perfection, it’s realness. Something you’ll cherish as you get older and can look back and say “it wasn’t perfect but it was real” 💛

I had a lot of self reflection on our excursion in the Grand Canyon.

One thing I thought about was how a lot of times I feel I’m getting behind on a race that is imaginary and I have to remind myself that Im doing better than I think I am.

You’re raising kids. You’re working. You’re building something. You’re trying to take care of everyone while also trying to take care of yourself.

Some days feel productive. Some feel like survival.

Here’s to a new week — less pressure, more grace, and remembering that we don’t have to have it all figured out. ✨

What’s one thing you’re giving yourself permission to NOT stress about this week? taken in Alabama by @dessieclewis
