POSTS STORIES REELS

I never play about it. 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ Just a reminder that Delta still has their ‘bags on time’ 2500 miles bonus going on. If your bags are not on the belt 20 minutes after you land, you can receive 2500 miles. This just happened to me last week and my miles were in my account a couple of days later.

I was standing with someone who didn’t know about it, so sharing this here too.

✈️ You have to fill out the online form when it happens though, and they don’t honor it for international flights (I found this out when I tried to do it 😩).

✈️ Fill out the form asap. The form is only valid up to three days after your flight. After that, you can’t submit it for the miles.

✈️ Alaska Airlines does this too.

✈️ I’m always about finding ways to get bonus miles. In addition to this, don’t forget to shop via shopping portals for more. I posted a reel about that in December.

La Digue island in Seychelles has THEE most picturesque beaches I’ve ever seen. I have been to Zanzibar, Bali, Bora Bora, Madeira, etc. and been in awe of the beaches there. But, something about La Digue hit different for me.

The beauty of Africa is not talked about enough - and I have so much more of the motherland to explore. Most Americans didn’t grow up knowing Africa looks like this (I did not) - and that’s very sad to me.

Consider this your sign to take that trip - and start exploring Africa.

With that said, let’s go over how to get to La Digue:

✈️ We took a 15-minute fast Cat Cocos ferry from Praslin to La Digue. It was about $26 USD RT. That’s the easiest and most affordable way. The ferry from Mahe to La Digue is $82 USD RT and it takes 1 hour 30 minutes.

✈️ The best thing to do is to rent a bike and bike around the island, but we had too many things with us. So, we had to rent a buggy to drive us around. If you do this for the whole day, they’ll try to charge you 150-200 euros. Negotiate with them to bring that down. Biking is the cheapest option so keep that in mind.

✈️ If you are short on time, the one place you absolutely must go is Anse D’ Source Agent. That is where all of the drone videos are in this reel, and it’s one of the most photographed beaches in the world. Also, book a drone photo session with @crystalwaterkayaks. I did a session with the owner and he was amazing. They are the originators of the crystal kayak drone sesh.

✈️ If you have only time for one more stop, go to Grand Anse (see previous reel).

I’m going to keep giving you these jokes, but I’m also going to give you this Self Care Sunday inspiration and the message on this reel, because I want you to live your life to the fullest and without limitations.

Travel is self care, and I don’t want any of you to ever feel like any destination is out of your reach.

Visualize it. Put it on a vision board. Know that you’re going and you’ll go.

With the right strategy, you can get there, even if your budget is tight.

I’ll keep dropping tips. In the meantime, anything specific that you want to know? Drop it in the comments. 👇🏽❤️

(In this reel: Zanzibar, Serengeti in Tanzania, Ubud, Bali, and Venice, Italy 💛)

Last week, I had the opportunity to sit down with Nevis Premier Mark Brantley and the @nevistourism team to talk about what makes Nevis such a magical island, and I can’t wait to visit.
⠀
If you’re not familiar, it’s an island in the Caribbean and often grouped with St. Kitts. But Nevis is it’s own personality and it’s own flavor.
⠀
Have you been to Nevis? Let’s chat about it in the comments.

Thank you so much @cessiecpr and @nevisnaturally for the invite!

Points were made. 😭Also, if Savannah James and April fly together often - and internationally - those first class flights could quickly rack up over $100K. 🫣
⠀
Don’t mind me though. I’ll just be over here minding my non-millionaire (for now) business.

Comment ‘Thailand’ for a link to my full 10-day Thailand itinerary and guide.

Dry season in Thailand runs from December - March and it’s the perfect time to go, especially if you plan to spend time in Phuket or other islands. There were so many things I loved in Thailand, so lmk if you want a part two.

Pop into a record bar or two when you go to Tokyo and thank me later. I loved Analog Record Bar in Shibuya - and the location is clutch. There are several bars next to/nearby it, so you can bar hop and make a night of it if you want to too. 💛
⠀
If you’ve been to record bars in Tokyo, what is your fave one? 👀

**The audio was removed off the original of this one too, so here it is again for anyone who needs it. 💛

Would you do all this to get into Bar Centifolia in Tokyo? 👀
⠀
Getting into this viral bar felt impossible, but I was determined. Save this if you’re planning a trip to Tokyo.

*IG removed the audio from my original reel, and that included my VO, so I’m sharing this one again for anyone who needs it. 💛

Mind you getting my passport renewal application rejected has been one of my biggest fears.😩

As a heads up, if you’re taking your own passport photo for a renewal or your first passport, these are the guidelines:

✈️ Submit 1 color photo taken in the last 6 months.

✈️ Directly face the camera without tilting your head.

✈️ Position yourself several feet away from the camera with your head centered and head fully visible.

✈️ Face the camera directly with a neutral expression, both eyes open and visible, and mouth closed.

✈️ Use a plain white or off-white background free of shadows, textures, or objects.

✈️ Submit the original, unedited photo without filters or digital changes.

We still have a few weeks until fall, but this post is dedicated to fall babies like me - or anyone - who wants to take an international beach vacation to a destination that has crystal clear water without worrying about rainy and hurricane seasons in the fall.
⠀
⠀
They aren’t easy to find during this time of year, but they’re there. Watch until the end for my top picks and lmk if I left anything out.

Def save this. Even if your bag is delayed for part of the first day of your trip (domestic or international), if you have to buy something to wear that was in your bag (toiletries, clothes, shoes, etc.) you can file a reimbursement claim for it.
