POSTS STORIES REELS

I gave my first TEDx talk two days ago

I spoke about learning out loud, the simple idea that if you spend the next 365 days sharing your imperfect growth in public, you’ll start to see yourself differently, build real confidence, and quietly open doors you never imagined.

The same voice that once told me I was “too small” (not good enough, ugly, weird) is the voice I had to confront.

Every post, every shared lesson, every tiny milestone became a stone under my feet, lifting me to a place where I could finally see I had value to offer and, more than that, being a human loved by God was enough.

I chose this topic because I know what it feels like to hide.

To believe you’re not enough.

To let one comment or false story define your whole identity.

“Learning out loud” changed that for me. It gave me:

→ Clarity on what I care about

→ Confidence to keep showing up, even imperfectly

→ A chance to impact others who feel unseen or unsure

If even one person in that audience walks away believing, “What I have today is enough to start,” then this talk did its job.

Thank you to the organiser @tedxguzapewomen and sponsors for the opportunity and for giving me the space to share this message.

And to the incredible speakers and host I had the privilege to share the stage with, thank you for your stories, your vulnerability, and the wisdom I got to sit under and learn from.

🥤🍩🍪 Let's meet again…

This is our second and last community event of the year, and we’re making time for a proper catch-up.

We’ll share the things we tried in 2026, what worked, what didn’t, and the systems that helped us manage it all.

There’ll be sweet treats, honest conversations, and people figuring things out just like you. No completed goals or Notion experience required.

What a privilege it is to explore… What a joy it is to learn out loud 📚🎧🧋 by @destinyfelinah

PSA: it’s still the cringe month. Towards my last year of uni, I learned a new modus operandi: leave everything until the last minute.

The problem was, it worked.

I went from spending a whole semester reading every day ahead of my exams to cramming entire courses into a few days. And I was a science student.

Was I anxious? Absolutely. Did I unlearn it? No.

Now Q4 is here, and for a person like me who likes to do things at the last minute, this is also the time when I try to do everything I haven’t done since January, and believe 3 months is just enough.

So I sat down to review & create systems for my five goals. But last Sunday, I realised something:

I’m rich in ideas, & broke in execution.

I have an idea. I get excited. I put it in the idea bank.

I plan in Notion & draw mind maps in Figma… anything but take action.

Some of those ideas have been sitting there for 5 years.

So I’ve put my 5 goals aside and given myself one rule for the rest of 2026: Act fast.

I’m taking out the things that make it longer to take action, including quality… or rather, perfection.

For Q4, I want to spend less time saving things for later and more time actually making them.

Even if they’re imperfect & I have to figure it out as I go.

It’s the cringe month… I’ve realized people are now afraid of looking like they are putting in effort. Why? It should be effortless. We need to flip this and let people try without shaming them 👾 by @destinyfelinah

Another September, another cringe month. What a time to be human. What a time to create 🎨🎭 by @destinyfelinah
