September marks exactly 1 year since moving from NYC to LA ☆

I remember talking about wanting to move since 2024 and I can’t believe I lived through it. I said I was going to try living in socal for one year just to try it out. Time passed by just like that.

It wasn’t easy but I’m so proud of myself for chasing after something so foreign and scary — to move far away from my hometown. The hardest part was leaving my friends, my family, and my clients. Til this day, I miss everyone so much but I’m glad to say I know now. Every question I had; if socal would be better suited for me, if I would like it more here, I know now.

I’ve grown and accomplished so much in only a year and I can’t wait to grow more.

Life is too short to leave questions unanswered. Chase after your dreams, quit the job you hate so much, move cities, leave that relationship. Do things scared. I promise it’ll be worth it in the long run.

I genuinely enjoy making content and documenting my life. So stay and follow me if you’d like to see more of my journey and how I got here! xo -des

Hi! I’m Destiny (๑>◡<๑)

I moved all the way from NYC to SoCal by myself to reset, enjoy life, and build new habits. I hope to discover new things about myself and share my life experiences with the hopes it’ll help inspire some of you.

I don’t have everything figured out yet but I’d love to have you here on my journey ₊˚ʚ 🌱 ₊˚✧ ﾟ.

Get to know a little bit about me! I’d love to get to know you guys in the comments <3

I started UGC since moving here and can’t wait to see where I can take it. I have a huge passion for making content and if you love anything travel, beauty, fashion, or skincare related — I’m your girl!!! (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧

Flew Xiamen Airlines @xiamenairlines
only $380 for a one way ticket from LAX to ICN

I read on reddit that people complained about having their checked bag pulled and inspected in Xiamen for their layover but I had no issues and managed to have a whole hour of free time.

Immigration at Korea on a Tuesday went by pretty fast. Only took my 1hr and 40 mins to get through and retrieve my luggage.

Hope this helps! Can’t wait to share all the recommendations I have in Korea!

As someone who just moved from NYC to LA, I can officially confirm NYC IS THE PROBLEM 😭

Every time I step foot in NYC I can’t help but do a million things so here’s what I did on my recent trip back!

places mentioned:
@fromkora
@athletex.official
@icecold.club
@spearptnyc
@nike @nikewomen @nikeswim
@summerclubnyc
@gainful
@truewellnessnj

I definitely recommend going to an @athletex.official event! Forgot to mention everything we used we got to take home! (nike mats, bands, nike swimsuit, etc)
