Western Australia’s inaugural design week returns to Fremantle this weekend.

From exhibitions and installations to talks, workshops and conversations, Fremantle Design Week is your invitation to peek inside otherwise off-limits studios, ask your burning architecture questions, and join the conversation around why good design matters. Who knows, it might even change the way you look at the world.

If you missed our latest On Location, here’s a glimpse inside.

Set within one of Fremantle’s denser urban pockets, this beautifully renovated home offers a warm, quiet backdrop to family life — immersed in landscape and layered with history.

A native garden wraps around the house, complete with a stainless-steel water tank reimagined as a plunge pool. And beyond, an unexpected discovery: a restored 1886 servants’ cottage nestled among the gum trees and a flourishing kitchen garden.

The afternoon brought architect Emily of @mt_eyk and homeowner Anna together in conversation with Emma Brain, reflecting on the collaborative process behind the renovation, the decisions that shaped it, and the pleasure of living in a home so closely connected to its garden and surrounds.

There’s something so special about Spring Summer fashion. The lighter silhouettes, romantic florals, considered details and effortless way Australian designers approach the season. And in Perth, we’re fortunate to have such a strong fashion community, with so many incredible Australian designers under one roof at Claremont Quarter.

Courting Summer was a beautiful celebration of SS26/27, with a runway filled with new-season looks, wonderful hospitality and plenty of familiar faces.

Thank you to all of our beautiful guests who joined us on the night and made it so memorable, alongside our partners and suppliers who helped bring the evening to life.

COMING SOON: Fremantle Design Week is back this October, and once again, our port city will become a playground for big ideas and excellent conversation. With more than 60 exhibitions, talks, tours, workshops and events, it’s the kind of festival that rewards curiosity.

This year’s theme, Imagine, will explore how design can help shape a healthier, more equitable and optimistic future. And the beauty of Fremantle Design Week is that it’s as practical as it is provocative, with the festival showcasing the creatives already reimagining how we might live, and inviting the rest of us to hurry up and join the conversation.

Not your usual runway. Courting Summer marked the arrival of SS26/27 at @ClaremontQuarter with the latest new season looks and a playful athleisure twist.

The high-end runway show, one of Perth’s largest ever, was curated by the incredibly talented CQ Fashion Director @Teagan_Sewell and Runway Producer @JacquiMBrown, with so many looks to love.

@pipedwards fronts this week’s @stmperth with an exclusive interview ahead of her upcoming appearance at @claremontquarter

The Australian fashion designer and creative director is the face of Claremont Quarter’s Spring Summer 26/27 campaign, captured against the turquoise waters of Rottnest Island in a celebration of movement, sport and effortless summer style.

And there’s more to come.

Next month, Pip will join us for Courting Summer, as The Square transforms into an unexpected fashion destination with a runway staged on a pickleball court, showcasing the latest looks from some of Australia’s leading designers.
