The Prince of Wales Fountain in Portobello, Edinburgh, is a historic pink sandstone and granite fountain built around 1860. It is located at 44 Promenade, Portobello, Edinburgh on the beachfront promenade, and was named in honor of Edward VII (then the Prince of Wales) due to his fondness for Portobello Beach.

Originally, the fountain featured water jets and four drinking basins, though these are no longer in use. It stands as a notable landmark and a reminder of Portobello’s Victorian-era seaside heritage.

Do you ever stop and look at the details when travelling as well? The way the patterns are all nicely designed, the lighting, the newspaper left behind, the stopping sign, the bell to signal that you want the bus to stop, some seats more worn than others...

My favourite place on the bus is downstairs at the back especially in winter. It provides so much heat and you can sit back and enjoy the ride.
