Well another weekend tournament with a whole new cast of players and somehow they let us sneak into another Championship appearance! But to get there was a miracle! down 12-5 top of the 5th in the semi finals I must say this has to be out of all the hundreds of games I’ve ever coached, one of the most rewarding!!! I told them if they believe it they will achieve it! Their eyes lit up and they locked in bring the energy and effort! and one after the other they hit the ball hard passing the bats and scored their max runs per inning of 7 all without a single recorded out! Now tied 12-12 they believed they were going to win the game! Held the opposing team to 0 in the bottom of the 5th. In the top of the 6th they continued to put pressure on the other team scoring 4! Now all they had to do was get 3 outs and hold them from scoring 4 or more and they did just that only allowing 2! Congrats Pace red 8u all stars! Coach Jackie Myers, Kevin Riley O' Neil Dustin Land! They did an amazing job getting this group ready in 1 weeks time! by @detour_64
