I know I’m late…. Yall know I would rather get back to work than celebrate. But I couldn’t let another day go by w/ out giving my young champ a shout for winning @borntocompete “Athlete OF The Year” for the second straight year. Was also nominated for 8th Grade “QB of the Year” but hey.. you can’t win em all. BIg Bro @jyates set the bar high years ago winning GHSA Player of the year and now lil bro is chasing. THE Whole Family couldn’t make it this year b/c Lon was winning his own 🏀 Chip, Munchie had ⚽️ games and J Yates had Draft Prep. Sorry for the long post but yall drop him a line and tell him good work kid… and then remind his azz to get back work. #LongGame 🏁🏁 #8thGrade taken in Georgia Aquarium by @deucegrayson

Before officially playing his first high school game, Deuce Grayson’s recruitment is already picking up.

The Class of 2030 guard has received an offer from Texas A&M after a strong summer. At 6’1”, Grayson brings size and athleticism to the backcourt, with the ability to create off the bounce, attack the rim and knock down shots from the perimeter.

Grayson has already built national recognition through his play with On The Radar and his development with Mr. Shut Up and Train. The young guard brings size and athleticism to the backcourt, with the ability to create off the dribble, get downhill and attack the basket, finish around the rim and score from the perimeter. Grayson enters his freshman season at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School as one of Georgia’s young guards to watch in the Class of 2030, with his early Texas A&M offer adding to a growing basketball résumé. Georgia’s next generation is headed to Colorado.

Eight players with Georgia ties have earned invitations to the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team minicamp, each arriving at a different point in his journey.

AJ Williams enters as a two-time gold medalist, while Asa Montgomery and Bentley Lusakueno know what it takes to win gold wearing USA across their chest. Kevin Savage III and Chase Lumpkin return with previous camp experience and another opportunity to prove themselves. Austin Leonard, Deuce Grayson and Cadien Hudson Jr. represent a younger wave already earning national recognition.

Different classes. Different paths. The same opportunity to compete among the best players in the country.

Ahead of camp, all eight players shared their perspective with @vdathlete on the opportunity, their USA Basketball experiences and what they’re looking to prove in Colorado.

Their answers offer a look into the sacrifice, development, confidence and mindset that come with pursuing an opportunity to represent USA Basketball.

Early mornings and late nights for the kid… balance simply does not exist. Honors track at School, 6-0 Varsity football 🏈 practice /games / treatment, plus prepping for 🇺🇸 🏀 @usabasketball in the middle of it all. All good tho, can’t complain about a full 🍽️ when the goal is to “EAT”!! #KeepGoing #deucegrayson2030 #KeepSmiling Champ. The work is undefeated. @hies_athletics (huge thanks to the coaches, AD, and training staff for all that you do.) by @deucegrayson
