It’s always challenging to learn a new skill as a complete beginner, but damn.. boxing humbled me.

Stepping into an environment that constantly tests my character and discipline. But like everything else I take on, I’m learning to embrace the discomfort.

Looking back at these clips from my first fight camp, I can already see the progress, even if I’m still very much a novice!

Can’t wait for the next fight night 👊🏾🥊

3 months ago, I decided to sign up for the @sydneycontender boxing challenge, with zero experience but all the drive to push myself out of my comfort zone, one more time 😌

Fast forward 11 weeks, after countless hours of training, strict diets, bruises, black eyes and nosebleeds, I stepped into that ring and experienced something I will never forget.

Winning was just the cherry on top. The real lesson was the journey and everything it taught me 🙏🏾

Huge thanks to @cortexmma for welcoming me into the fighter community, what a brotherhood, the perfect place to learn and grow!

To my coach @sam_bastin, who taught me everything from scratch and guided me through every step, I could not have done this without you!

Thanks @arnaudmas for giving me the crazy idea to take on this challenge. And of course @jonesakwe, @miguel_la_cruz , @romero_raw, @boxingpab, your tips, sparring and teaching helped me a lot.

Thanks also @damianclarkshoots for capturing all the behind the scenes content!

Finally, to all my friends and family who came to support me and sent messages along the way, I feel so grateful to be surrounded by so much love and encouragement 🫶🏾

Onto the next one 🥊💪🏾

We weren’t expecting fire works when we matched Cortex MMA’s Christ Kpodar to Marc Ramirez of Mundine’s Gym. Yet that is exactly what we got.
The pair duked it out from start to finish and it was evident that both boxers were desperate to take home the win.
These lads had transformed themselves since the sparring days and after the conclusion of the final round, you could imagine how hard they must have worked in camp.
Thank you for entertaining us gents, you did yourselves and your coaches proud.
