✨ Your Tuesday nights just got better 😎

We’re launching evening bike rides every other Tuesday, led by shop owner Devin Cowens. These rides are geared towards intermediate riders: 15ish miles, a bit of elevation, and a 10-12 mph pace. While this is a no-drop ride, we want to ensure that folks joining are confident riding 20 miles through the city of Atlanta.

The first ride rolls out Tuesday, October 6, at 6:30 pm (wheels down) from RAR Bike Shop. Routes will be shared a day or two before each ride.

Bring lights, water, a helmet, and good vibes. See y’all soon! ✨ taken in 900 Murphy Ave SW by @dev_rox

Mark your calendar for two ways to roll with RAR ATL and get your miles in for Biketober!

▪️Thursday, October 8 @ 7pm: Pride Ride, starting at Side Saddle Wine Saloon
▪️Sunday, October 18 @ 1pm: Bike train to Atlanta Streets Alive, starting at RAR Bike Shop

Whether you’re a regular or have been wanting to join us for a ride, Biketober is the perfect excuse to make some new friends or see old ones, celebrate this fall weather, and see Atlanta on two wheels.

The routes are 7-9 miles with minimal elevation gain at an 8-10 mph pace. Each ride starts with introductions, is no-drop, and we regroup at any hills. Please bring lights, a helmet, and water.

Every ride you log this month counts toward chances to win an e-bike and weekly prizes. Register at Biketober.com (link in bio) and join the RAR ATL team!

As a longtime car free commuter, biking has transformed the way I navigate cities and my home base of Atlanta. For me, biking has never just been about speed or fitness. It’s a way to see my city, connect with others, and build community. It’s why I started RAR Atlanta and most recently, RAR Bike Shop.

This October, I’m thrilled to team up with Georgia Commute Options for the Biketober bike challenge, running October 1-31.

▪️Pre-register by September 30th at Biketober.com for a chance to win a $1,000 Airbnb gift card

▪️Every trip counts. Ride anytime, anywhere - to the game, to coffee, to your friend’s house - you name it. It counts! The more you ride, the more chances you have to win great prizes like an e-bike!

▪️Ride solo, or build a team at work or with your friends, or join RAR ATL’s team!

So here’s your invite: bring a friend, bring a coworker, or find a friend who’s been bike curious and take them for an easy spin. I’m riding all October and hope to see you as we find our rhythm together! by @dev_rox

Community. Bikes. Birding. Nature. @dev_rox and @rar.bikeshop are doing it right. 🚲🌿

Devin’s been taking our new NocLoc Approach Rope Strap on her rides — lightweight rope strap with a cross-body stabilizer so your optics stay put on the move and swing free when you’re ready to look. Two-point carry, zero fuss!

i turned 40 yesterday and ran 40km with @morgazoid to celebrate entering my 4th decade of life and to honor my body and mind and all the great things they are capable of.

this year, i’m incredibly grateful for the community of friends i’ve built over my lifetime across all the places i’ve lived and especially here in atlanta.

i’m proud of myself for getting through the past year and a half and accomplishing a lot while managing life’s challenges and these economic times.

entering into this new chapter with more joy (joymaxxing?!!!), un-hurriedness, more love and kindness, and a continued awe for the natural world 💖 by @dev_rox

Huge shoutout to @createatl and our friends @rar.bikeshop and @scrapatl for hosting our first Atlanta popup! It was sooooo cool to see how entrepreneurs and creatives are partnering on third spaces in a way that is such an added benefit to the community 👏👏

What a treat to get to see @dev_rox and her new business @rar.bikeshop 🤩 Super thoughtful assortment of bike items, mechanic services, RAR merch, and a gear library for bike packing 😭 I can’t wait to come back and plan a bigger community ride and craft night with this crew 🫶

I had an amazing Mexican Coke and espresso from the coffee shop tucked inside and the studio had everything I needed to setup for indigo dyeing and crafting, courtesy of @scrapatl ✨😍❤️

Dear ATL, I ❤️ you, I’ll be back in July

We’re celebrating the people building the kind of communities we all need. 🏳️‍🌈🚲 @dev_rox is a naturalist, connector, and the force behind @rar.atlanta and @rar.bikeshop — a space rooted in community, education, and the joy of riding, centering trans, gender expansive, and BIPOC cyclists in Atlanta.

The outdoors belongs to everyone, and Devin is out here making sure it feels that way. Scope her community pages and events to join is if you’re in Atlanta! @rar.atlanta and @rar.bikeshop
