No me llevo una medalla de este Mundial, pero sí algo mucho más grande: una experiencia que cambió mi manera de ver el karate. 🥋🌎

Terminar 5ta en mi primer Campeonato Mundial es algo que recibo con muchísimo orgullo. Llegué sin expectativas, simplemente con el deseo de disfrutar, aprender y vivir el momento… y eso fue exactamente lo que hice.

Aquí pude ver el verdadero significado del KARATE: respeto, unión, humildad y personas de tantos países conectadas por una misma pasión. Por unos días, entendí de una manera muy especial que el karate realmente es una gran familia.

Y hubo un momento que guardaré siempre en mi corazón: ver al Team Venezuela competir. 🇻🇪 Aunque representé a Estados Unidos con enorme orgullo 🇺🇸, Venezuela es el país donde nací, y ver su bandera y sus atletas me emocionó hasta las lágrimas. Fue como sentir un pedacito de casa conmigo, al otro lado del mundo.

Me siento profundamente orgullosa de haber representado a Team USA y de cada uno de nuestros atletas, por todo el trabajo, sacrificio y corazón que dejaron en el tatami.

Mi primer Mundial me deja aprendizaje, gratitud, nuevas amistades y recuerdos que nunca voy a olvidar.

Gracias, Dios, por permitirme vivirlo. 🙏🏼🤍

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL KARATE OPEN 🙌🏼

I competed in 16–17 Elite Kata and Kumite +55kg and came home with:

🥇🏆1st Place — Kumite
🥈 2nd Place — Kata

Winning Kumite was such a huge accomplishment and one of the most fulfilling moments for me. In Kata, I know there’s still work to do, but I’m still very proud of how I performed and everything I learned.

I went into this competition with a lot on my mind, but for the first time I was able to reach a mental state I had never experienced before. I felt calm, focused, and more connected to God than ever. Through all the pressure and emotions, I truly felt His presence. All glory to God. 🤍

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to compete at such an amazing event and for everyone who supported me along the way. Thank you to my coaches @luisalberte1 @ananda_alberte , especially my sister for being right by my side, and to my family and friends supporting me from different states.

Proud of these results, but even more proud of the growth behind them. Still learning, still improving, and excited for what’s next. 🥋🤍
