Everybody wanted to know what we would do if our first book had nothing to say to the people who matter, the ones building the nation. Well, I guess we’ll never know. 🎤

We had a meaningful discussion with Hon’ble Shri Rajesh Verma, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, one of the country’s youngest parliamentarians, and Hon’ble Shri Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, around Management Maxxing and the evolving role of Gen Z in India’s workforce and leadership.

The conversation extended to Viksit Bharat and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the importance of bringing Boomers, Millennials, Gen Z and the generations to come together to achieve our development goals.

With Shri Rajesh Verma representing the perspective of a young generation already stepping into public leadership, and Shri Manoj Tiwari bringing decades of experience across public life, culture and leadership, it was a particularly relevant conversation for the ideas behind the book.

Met Hon’ble Shri Pabitra Margherita, Union Minister of State for External Affairs; and Textiles, and shared our book with him. Management Maxxing is our take on the principles of managing a Gen Z workforce. First time we’re talking about it publicly after months of brainstorming and drawing from our experiences across completely different domains. Book launches on 27 Aug at @constitutionclubofindia

His pushback: biologically nothing separates these generations. The labels get overdone. What actually matters are the motivations that have driven all of us forever.

Viksit Bharat 2047 came up a lot. The people who’ll carry it are in their twenties now. And in the age of AI, government has to rethink how it manages just like everyone else does.

We also spoke about how differently Gen Z shows up across countries. Most of what’s written about this generation is really about one slice of it.

He then suggested a second book. One that helps Gen Z understand the generations before them. Same bridge, other end. Taking that one seriously. by @devanshjn
