A leg injury has been keeping me on the sidelines so, I decided to capture moments in the gym. Featuring one of @mizu’s black belts @paulverizerjj

The intention was to capture movement and contrast in B&W.

Haven’t picked up my camera for a while and caught myself overthinking these too much. Stop and have fun.

First pic of the carousel is straight fire, if I do say so myself.

Proud of my team and friends! Too many pics to edit, I’m going blind from staring at my screen.

Yo @ibjjf @ibjjf_northamerica, how can I get past the barricades to photograph my friends?

See you all tomorrow for day 2.

Part 2 of @tondojo.momentum ‘s tournament.

I went into these with a rough idea of the final look. Even while shooting, I was thinking about contrast, texture, movement, and that sense of chaos. It’s hard to make jiu jitsu look pretty, so I leaned into that. The edit is where it all came together into something a bit more dramatic.

My dad’s been a photographer for over 40 years, and I’ve only been shooting for 1.5. For the first time, we finally share a hobby—and we celebrated it with a short trip chasing waterfalls. by @deven_y

Tonight was a special one.

I was honoured to receive my brown belt from my coaches — a huge milestone on this journey. But what made it even more meaningful was sharing the moment with my brother and training partner @andy.pq.vu, who earned his well-deserved purple belt!

I couldn’t be prouder of him — for his hard work, his growth, and for always being there, whether it’s to drill techniques, test new ideas, or support the classes I teach.

Big thank you to all my coaches at @mizumtl and to the room full of killers who push me every day. Grateful for this community. taken in Mizu Studio by @deven_y
