last week was rough but if that was the cost to get a piece of my heart back even for a short time after our first year apart, it was more than worth it 🫶🏽 #FrontPorch taken in Home by @devera90

¹⁰⁰⁵²⁵ another absolute honor to meet thee OG Bash Brother, @sweetbuttermd at #scaradise 🤜🏽🤛🏽 #TheMightyDucks movies were EVERYTHING to me as a kid not cause I had some latent desire to play hockey or be any kinda sports star growing up, but because they first taught me (& perfectly exemplified) things like friendship, being grounded in who you are, thinking of your differences as gifts & overall just the triumph of the human spirit. seeing the Ducks constantly come together to rise to & overcome challenge after challenge on & off the ice over the yrs made me feel like I could do anything if I stayed true to myself & kept my friends close. they still make me feel that way now & that is in no small part thanks to how Elden portrayed #FultonReed. a radical enforcer, but a fun, fierce & loyal friend. the same kind of friend he portrays as #FoggyNelson in #Daredevil. thank you for teaching me to be the big guy w a heart of gold. I’ll always hold onto that. #DucksFlyTogether ✊🏽🦆 #bashbrothers #EldenHenson #scaradisefl @scaradisefl taken in Tampa, Florida by @devera90

⁰⁶¹⁰²⁵ I know most nights talking on the couch till Mark dozed off probably felt like just normal quality time between friends, but to me it was everything. At my big age I’ve come to learn that life’s most meaningful moments aren’t necessarily in the grand adventures worthy of a highlight reel, but in the connections we make with people who know, understand & accept us. They happen on the seemingly uneventful nights in over sports on TV, board games & pizza (with wings of course). They happen reminiscing over lost loved ones, cringy adolescence & big belly laughing at piping hot chismis. Sometimes life at its best, happens in the unremarkable, yet precious in between.

As someone who doesn’t have a particularly large or close family & who can’t seem to ever stop being a disappointment to them, your house was a sanctuary for me. I knew walking thru your door that I never had to be anything or anyone but myself. I never had to fake how I was feeling or hide what I was going thru cause there was warmth & comfort waiting for me on the other side. From petting Walker while he made out with the couch cushions to playing with Liana & Ezra as they grew up & learned to tolerate me 😅 you shared so much life with me & I’ve always been/will always be grateful for that.

Tiverton has seen so many of our birthdays, Thanksgivings, Super Bowls & steak nights. & as much as it’ll hurt missing all of that, I know you moving could never change what’s important: That the Front Porch was never a place, it was always just us. & it’s home no matter where we are. & for that gift, the words “thank you” will never feel quite big enough. So I truly hope you experience all the fun, love & belonging you gave me in all our yrs in Tampa together in your new chapter in Oregon. I hope they take care of you like you took care of us. End of an era, but already can’t wait till our next reunion 🫶🏽 taken in Tampa, Florida by @devera90
