PSA: Don’t bother

While I was overseas and impulsively purchased a small controller for travelling, I also purchased a new set of cans. I couldn’t find an AIAIAI distributor on Koh Samui, so I took a gamble on these Pioneer/Alphatheta headphones.

Pro’s: They do link wirelessly to controllers which have SonicLink built-in, such as the AZ or AN. And they are also Bluetooth and it does come with a wireless TX device for connecting to any non-SonicLink mixer or controller. And the latency is fine for mixing…

Con’s: The volume and bass reproduction are shit. A $250 pair of TMA-2 eats the sound quality and volume of these.

End result, don’t waste your money. AIAIAI are far superior, for far less money. by @devianceperth

Probably the most homebrew, MacGyver rig I’ve come up with for DJing 😂😂. But in a bind, it will do for a little livestream from the villa 🎶🎶 by @devianceperth

Testing out the new XDJ-AN which I bought for travelling. It lacks some features compared to larger equipment, but it’s very portable and can run off a regular (flight-safe) USB-C power bank for approx 5hrs. taken in Koh Samui, Thailand by @devianceperth

** Edit: Fully booked - August ** DM to register interest for future offers like this.

Time for an absolutely crazy hire special. I’ll be away, so I thought I’d offer my decks for hire on a full month basis. August 1st to 31st, works out to $55/night rather than the usual $450/night. Epic opportunity.
These are the latest CDJ3000X units, best in the business, and the 6 channel, 4-band EQ, V10 mixer.

First in, best dressed.

Can’t wait to test out my new lighting equipment for our Deviance PopUp DJ Sessions in nature. 200watt portable lighting rig, with a semi-pro softbox diffuser to create stunning portrait-style illumination of the DJ behind the decks. This rig runs off Battery, USB-C, or 240V 🤓👌🏻👌🏻 by @devianceperth
