What an incredible honour to receive this beautiful taonga at the 2026 @aotearoamusicawards

This award is given to New Zealand artists who achieved a #1 album on the @aotearoacharts

Only three artists achieved this in 2025: @lorde, @marlonwilliamssings, and Devilskin.

And we’re especially proud to say that ‘RE-EVOLUTION’ is the only album of those three that was released independently.

No record label, no marketing team; but there are still some very key people to thank:

James Southgate, our former manager announced his retirement during the recording process, yet continued to guide us through this monumental release. He has been instrumental to Devilskin’s success since 2013, and we remain grateful for his unwavering support.

Our producer @dave_rhodes_productions, our graphic designer Barny Bewick at @indiumdesignltd, @nzonairmusic, @drmnzmusic, @parachute_music.

Lisa, Kelly, Ashlee, Phil, and our incredible families.
And we can’t forget our road crew who have stuck with us through thick and thin.

And shout-out to the AMA’s for finally acknowledging heavy metal by extending the Best Rock Artist category to Best Rock / Metal Artist.

We think this is worth celebrating…👀

So…did you hear the news? 😄

Devilskin received the JD Sports Tā te Iwi | People’s Choice Award at the 2025 @AotearoaMusicAwards

This award is particularly special to us, as it’s the only award based on public votes.

And the people have spoken: heavy music is alive and thriving in New Zealand!

While we are truly honoured to accept this award, we maintain that rock and metal deserve more recognition at these events 🤘

Special thanks to our supporters across the world, our amazing partners, friends and family, James Southgate, Dave Rhodes, Barny Bewick.

What a way to kick off our RE-EVOLUTION NZ Tour! See you on the road!!! by @devilskinnz

Due to illness, @the_boondocks_nz will not be performing at our upcoming show in Hastings.
We will still have @medusa.glare opening the show, now with an extended set.

Please see The Boondocks’ statement below:

“Unfortunately, due to medical reasons within the band, The Boondocks will be unable to perform in Hastings this Friday at the Toitoi Opera House.
We are absolutely gutted to miss this show, and we are really sorry to anyone who was looking forward to seeing us.

Unfortunately @devilskinnz had to postpone this weekend’s shows in Palmerston North and Hastings (new dates coming VERY soon!)

So in the meantime, here’s my drum solo from last weekend in Hamilton’s @bnztheatre - where we left it all on the stage.

Fourth time ever playing this, focusing much more on groove, flow, feel this year; instead of flashy, fast, and exhausting.

Couple of goofy moments, but that’s showbiz baby!

Unfortunately, Devilskin has to postpone our upcoming shows in Palmerston North (7th August) and Hastings (8th August) due to illness within the band.

This is only the second time we’ve ever had to postpone a Devilskin show over the past 15 years; we hope our friends in Palmy and Hastings understand that this is a last resort for us, but we have to prioritise our health this time.

However, Devilskin WILL celebrate the 10th Anniversary of ‘Be Like The River’ in Palmy and Hastings. We are working around the clock with our booking agent and venues to secure new dates, and will announce the reschedule as soon as possible.

All tickets purchased for the original show will remain valid for the new dates. If you’re unable to attend the rescheduled show, refunds will be made available from Eventfinda once the new dates are announced.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. We will see you soon.
