It was a pleasure speaking with the New York Post and sharing my perspective on how billionaire Ken Griffin has become one of the most influential figures shaping not just South Florida’s luxury real estate market, but the future of the region itself.

With billions invested in commercial real estate, luxury residences, and now a historic commitment to bringing Carnegie Mellon University to Miami, Griffin is doing far more than acquiring property. He’s helping build the foundation for Miami’s next generation of growth.

As I shared with the Post:

Not every great real estate story starts with an introduction or a referral. Sometimes, it starts how you would least expect it.

I met these clients several months ago when they came to one of my listings without a broker. They had already been searching for months, working with different agents and trying to navigate the market on their own. This particular listing wasn’t a fit for them, but we immediately clicked, and although they initially thought they’d be in a better position going direct to listing agents, they ultimately trusted me to guide them through their search.

They were smart, analytical and incredibly data-driven. They weren’t going to buy just to buy. They wanted the right apartments, at the right numbers, and they were willing to be patient until they found them.

Along the way, more than one agent told me I was “wasting my time”. I heard, “They’ve been looking forever, they are bottom feeders” and even, “These people are never going to buy anything.”

I saw it differently.

My job isn’t to decide when a client should be ready. My job is to listen, understand exactly what they’re trying to accomplish, provide them with the best information possible, and stay committed until we get there.

Today, I’m proud to say we closed on not one, but TWO residences at The Carillon Miami Beach — both at exceptional values.

These may not be the largest transactions I’ve ever closed, but they are every bit as rewarding. Great service shouldn’t be determined by the size of the deal.

Persistence matters. Relationships matter. Expertise matters. And when great clients put their trust in you, giving them anything less than your absolute best is never an option.
