Stetson and I left everyone at home and went exploring with friends.
Within 10 minutes he was in the creek.
Within 30 he found a muddy swamp to roll in.
I never get to be in the woods without my littles and though it was a short adventure we made the most of it.

Just updating ig (tho I know I posted on my story)
Penny is on her third week at her new home doing fabulous. One week in I went for a visit and she was just fine.
She loves her new family and goes on adventures around the city and has even had a weekend getaway and go to hang out with some dog friends.
Her favorite thing is in the third slide 🫶🏼💕

I was nervous Penny needed a dog and the city might be a little much. But I knew these were her people and were ready to love her. That’s what’s most important

A reminder that dogs are more adaptable than we think. They just need time, willing humans and love and understanding to thrive.

It was harder than expected to let her go and I thought I wouldn’t foster again for awhile.
But, we’ll see as I’m a junky for chaos and dogs. 🐕 😅 by @devinannimal

Went to BodyRock and got to be around my favorite people smiling my ass off doing what lights me up- moving my body.

I have limited LIMITED time for just me. I get maybe one afternoon a month if I’m lucky to just be Devin and I always run to the city to move my body, try to be around people who get me, and eat 😅. Then run back to my family. Happy, fulfilled, present.

I’ve been thinking alot lately about how I’ve been throwing spaghetti at the wall figuring out how to create (& in a way that is not just challenging and trying new things but that is aligned to my heart ) in this new season of my life.

Movement always has and always will be integral.
It brings me childlike joy, and I know that’s a Godwink.
I’ll figure out the rest eventually? 😅 by @devinannimal

I have been neglecting posting (and let’s be honest my garden) bc life is lifing and I have all the eggs in all the baskets bc .. well.. it’s me lol.

Currently bulk prepping tons of bandanas, key chains, and scrunchies for witches night out October 3rd.

We’ll have so so many options, including the cutest spooky prints!

Stay tuned to see alllllll the varieties I’ll have for the Halloween season! I got a lot of work to do guys 😆

I am minis and half hour sessions again this year!
150 for a mini session
225 for a half hour.

I do need to know if you’re planning to bring your pets as I will be staggering shoots.
I highly suggest a half hour shoot if planning to bring your doggo!

Penny is thriving!!!
She has great recall- loves quality time in the yard
(Personal touch is not her love language. )
She loves her dog friends ( notice how she Completely blows me off to hang with her girl)

Penny has come SO FAR and is ready for her next adventure!!

•A home without toddlers ( bc those feral gremlins are scary to her) older kids 5+ are fine she treats our oldest the same as adults.

•A home with a dog to be her companion
•And a patient heart who will allow her to love on her terms!

When Penny is scared she freezes and is submissive she is not aggressive just is afraid of fast movements and is still learning trust and that touch can be okay

Her potty training has went smoothly and she loves her fabric pop up crate I got for her that will come with 🧡

Penny is located in NE OHIO about one hour from pgh

Rambling post but:
Kind of spinning out realizing I am probably the first human penny has ever truly trusted now that she follows me like a shadow when we are outside, looks to me for reassurance, and officially ate something out of my hand LOL.

Sure she doesn’t ask for pets, but the second picture was how terrified she was of me the first day she came home.

Everytime she shows me her edge, I take a step back. But once I see her edge. I plot to move the dial forward.

This is a big lesson I learned when I was in my 20s beginning yoga. Find your edge, and take it back 20%
The next thing you know your edge has been moved farther and farther.
Penny couldn’t even look at me she was so scared of me. Now she looks to me.

Penny wouldn’t walk on her leash.
Then she would, but wouldn’t go on the porch. Decided the porch was okay- then made it through our door on her own.
She’d come in the house, never out. Now she confidently does both.
I could have easily at any point felt bad for her and continued to carry her back and forth, and catered to her fear instead I chose to show her a path forward. That is ain’t a huge thing - it’s chill over here

I feel bad for her story but I won’t allow my human feelings of pity to hold her back.
