2025

Wow, 2025. A year written in moments both crazy and beautiful. Memories I’ll keep, hard days that reshaped me, relationships that almost became something, and growth that happened quietly when no one was watching. A new job, new directions, old lessons finally understood. I learned how to let go and move on, how to stay soft without breaking, and how to trust that becoming takes time. Grateful for every chapter even the ones that didn’t last. Here’s to 2026! taken in Orlando, Florida by @devinbill

When I was younger, I used to pray the hardest prayers the kind that begged a God I thought hated me
to either change me or take me away.
I’d lie in bed, whispering bargains in the dark,
terrified of being found out. I wore the mask so long that I forgot who was underneath. I thought I could be normal
the fence, the family, the version of life that made sense on paper. For 23 years, I lived as someone else,
convinced that if this life hurt, at least eternity would make it worth it.

That equation held up until it didn’t.

The roots ran deep telling me this part of me was sin,
unforgivable, unworthy, unrelenting. My own faith became my illness.

Even when I preached love for everyone, for every story,
for the broken, the addicted, the lost I somehow left myself out of that grace.

And in hiding, my body forgot how to exist.
A boy born to love swearing to die alone. A man shouting about forgiveness, but forgetting to forgive himself.

And then, one day, my silence cracked.
The voice returned rough, bitter, bruised.
It told me I was a loser. So I tried to take back control
to touch but never be known, to want but never belong,
to make intimacy into armor.

But maybe we weren’t meant to live behind armor.
Maybe we were made to be unbound
divine from the start, held by something greater
long before we earned love, and long after we ruin it again.

Maybe this is the work:
to live, to love, to lose, to unlearn.
To soften again and again,
until the skin grows tender where it once was calloused.

I found the strength to share my diary entry from ( 10/02/25 ) and here’s to little me reminding myself never change bud. by @devinbill
