Sped up recap of the joint Search and Rescue training we conducted in San Diego. 445th PA created the vid with some of their photos and some of my GoPro clips. I just sped it up and added the music for IG sake. The most exhausting and fulfilling day I’ve had so far this year (and likely for the rest of it). 10 slides simply isn’t enough to capture how awesome this training was. Somehow unpacking, inspecting/repairing, repacking this gear just doesn’t give you the same perspective as having to employ it and see your crews having to rely on it in real time. Ohio boy had to hit that California connection and take advantage of this TDY to link up with @officialmilitaryskate and goof off. This line was just some 1 take off the cuff fun. Your boy is still gassed from drifting in the cold pacific water yesterday (so forgive that toe drag) but I still had to get out for a little session. I went until my legs literally quit today so I’ll take it. What can I say, it has been 2 years since you were taken and while it has become less difficult, I still miss you every day. It still hurts and I still feel like I’m in a nightmare.. but I’m trying to learn to live with this new reality.
