Friday, July 24th marks a special milestone in both my career and the voyage that brought me from Boston to Los Angeles two years ago.UPWARD is the second half of my project, ONWARD & UPWARD. Together, these two albums tell one epic story. ONWARD is made up of the last 10 songs I wrote before leaving Boston. UPWARD is the first 10 songs I wrote after arriving in Los Angeles.This project captures a season of growth, uncertainty, and finding my place in the unknown. I have a special announcement to make. Friday, June 19th, my first collection of Devin the Voyager music will be released. I am dropping a two-part project entitled “ONWARD & UPWARD,” and Part I (ONWARD) will drop Friday, while Part II (UPWARD) will drop on July 24th.ONWARD is a collection of the last 10 songs I made before moving out of Boston, and UPWARD is made up of the first 10 songs I created after arriving in LA. These songs were previously released as singles under Devin Ferreira, but I am repackaging them as a two-part album because they were always meant to tell a truly unique story of taking a massive leap of faith and rebuilding my entire life.After both parts of this project drop, I plan to release another full album (never before released) in the fall. Growing, evolving, and building a legacy one brick at a time. And the best part is, for the last 6 months, I’ve enjoyed every step of the way. I stopped focusing solely on the destination and started soaking in each step of the voyage. I’ve learned the “destination” was an illusion I created that robbed me of joy along the way. Moving into new territory. I’ve kept my head down, stayed focused, and tried to do things the right way. That doesn’t change.But I’m also not hiding anymore.I take responsibility when things don’t work. When they do, it’s because of the support and love around me. With Easter and everything, I’ve been reflecting on the resurrection. What’s being resurrected in you? What has died and is coming back to life in your heart, in your spirit? If Christ can overcome death, what does that mean for me? Can I walk in the resurrected life? I believe so. Walk with me. by @devinthevoyager

I almost lost myself in the rat race. I spent so much energy just trying to survive I forgot what it meant to really live. Now I’m reconnecting with my purpose and moving with confidence. This is about the art and nothing else. That’s why I’m inspired. Inspired to build, create, connect, and leave a legacy one story at a time. by @devinthevoyager

Writing is the foundation of my creative process. It was my gateway to Hip-Hop and sustained me all these years. It keeps calling me back for more. Until my story is fully told, I’ll continue to record my thoughts and ideas on paper. Writing is such a special gift, and I’m thankful for how it has been an amazing blessing in my life. by @devinthevoyager

My first GRAMMY experience and the days leading up to it were absolutely insane. It is hard to comprehend the growth I have experienced over the last year and a half. Regardless, I remain grounded in my craft, my process, and rooted in the belief that it is more important to serve GOD than to serve self. And HE never fails.When it came to our category, the award went to another VERY deserving Duo, not us this time. But in this game we do not LOSE, we LEARN. I am beyond thankful for this experience and for getting to know @mega_ran and his team. I know this is not the last time we will bless the GRAMMY categories and continue using my skills to build bridges, uplift youth voices, and remind everyone willing to listen that they are fully known and fully loved. by @devinthevoyager

What an honor it was attending the annual @prodengwing GRAMMY event honoring the great Jimmy Douglass! Got to catch up with some old friends and connect with some new ones. Shout out to @timbaland for pulling up and speaking on behalf of Jimmy. So much wisdom and creativity in one space, to say I’m inspired is an understatement! by @devinthevoyager
