Alone Together (published by ZONE) is an introspective photographic project by Devin Oktar Yalkın reflecting on the passing of home and the sense of longing that follows. Set in the family house in Brigantine, New Jersey, the book unfolds through a series of monochrome images that trace the subtle remnants of a life once lived there.

The monograph explores themes of impermanence and renewal, revealing how domestic spaces, once filled with emotion and routine, gradually turn into vessels of memory. Haunting and contemplative, Alone Together reminds us how spaces remember us, and how, in turn, we carry them.

🌫 EVİN is thrilled to present Nebulous, Devin Oktar Yalkin’s second solo exhibition in Turkey.

At the center of Nebulous is a longing for Turkey, not as a fixed subject or geography, but as a place that continues to shape Yalkin’s way of seeing. Made over several years and in different parts of the world, the photographs suggest how attachment to one place can quietly follow us into another. The exhibition explores how memory, belonging, and longing shift across time and distance.

Devin Yalkin @devinyalkin is an American photographer born and raised in New York City, currently dividing his time between New York and Los Angeles. Working primarily in black and white, his practice is rooted in a strong documentary sensibility, combining intimate observation with a distinctive visual language shaped by the urban environments and people around him.
Yalkin holds a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York. His work has been commissioned and published internationally by leading editorial and cultural institutions, including The New York Times Magazine, Time, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, and Mother Jones, as well as by A24 and Netflix.
Through his photographs, Yalkin creates direct and atmospheric portraits of contemporary life, balancing the immediacy of documentary photography with a refined sensitivity to character, place, and light. by @devinyalkin

Recently had the opportunity to photograph Zohran (My Man) Mamdani @nycmayor for @nytmag. So thankful for the opportunity and for the short but sweet time we had together.

I had the France–Spain World Cup match playing in the background while we shot, which his team was keeping a close eye on, and somewhere in between we got to talk football, music, our rings and where they came from, and a few other things.

An absolute pleasure to photograph. Man crush supreme.
