TÍTULO: “Zwischen Himmel und Erde”
ARTISTA: @devita_art

La figura porta sobre la cabeza una flor de cempasúchil que cubre parcialmente el rostro del ajolote. Esta planta, profundamente vinculada al Día de los Muertos y al paisaje cultural de Xochimilco —hábitat natural del ajolote—, introduce una lectura simbólica sobre el tránsito y la memoria.
La flor representa la conexión mística entre el cielo y la tierra, así como el paso entre la vida y la muerte. En este umbral se sitúa también el ajolote: un ser enigmático y cargado de significados, representado históricamente como símbolo de transformación, permanencia y misterio. La vela ubicada en la parte posterior de la figura funciona como un gesto íntimo, un tributo personal de amor y recuerdo hacia el padre fallecido de la artista.

ENG: The figure bears upon its head a cempasúchil flower that partially obscures the axolotl’s face. This plant—deeply intertwined with the Day of the Dead and the cultural landscape of Xochimilco, the axolotl’s natural habitat—introduces a symbolic interpretation regarding themes of passage and memory.
The flower represents the mystical connection between heaven and earth, as well as the passage between life and death. It is within this very threshold that the axolotl also resides: an enigmatic being imbued with layers of meaning, historically depicted as a symbol of transformation, permanence, and mystery. The candle positioned at the back of the figure serves as an intimate gesture—a personal tribute of love and remembrance dedicated to the artist’s late father.

Il murale illustra un volto ispirato all’immaginazione delle fattezze di Cyane, una donna richiamata nell’Alcyone di d’Annunzio.

In particolare, quest’opera si sofferma sul significato dei versi 416-421, che recitano “E il giorno estivo non potea morire, ma sorrideva sempre sopra il bianco mare silenziosamente senza fine; e la notte, che avea parte ineguale, piava il bel nemico dalle chiostre dei monti, azzurra come te, Cyane”.

@devita_art , artista attiva sulla scena tedesca, conosciuta per la dedizione nei confronti della rappresentazione femminile e delle tematiche ad essa legate, vuole omaggiare questa figura menzionata dall’autore in versi d’amore: Cyane, capelli bruni come la notte, occhi turchesi come il mare, vuole ricordare in tutto e per tutto i versi scelti da Devita.

Il suo viso si poggia su una superficie azzurra specchiata, in cui lo stesso si riflette, e che vuole richiamare la notte azzurra che a d’Annunzio ricorda proprio questa donna.

La profondità espressiva e realistica della rappresentazione è il punto forte dell’artista, il cui lavoro è stato realizzato totalmente a rullo e pennello.
