Keeping them off the streets… while these sports put ME on them. 😂💸🏒

Between registration fees, new gear, tournament weekends, hotels, gas, snacks, and the mysterious need for a new stick every 4 business days… I’m starting to think drugs would’ve been the cheaper hobby. 💀😂

But would I change it? Absolutely not.
Would my bank account? Immediately.

Hi new friends 🤍 I figured it was time for a little re-introduction since there are so many new faces around here!

I’m Devan, 30 — mom to boys + a baby girl, 911 dispatcher, hockey player AND hockey mom… which basically means I thrive in chaos both professionally and personally 😂🏒

A few things about me:
✨ We basically live at the hockey rink
📚 Give me a good book and I’ll disappear for hours
🎬 Rom-coms > literally any other genre
🕯️ I will absolutely buy another candle I don’t need
🫧 Seltzer is basically a personality trait at this point
☀️ Lake days + sunshine = my happy place
🏒 I’ve played hockey most of my life and now get to watch my kids fall in love with it too
📸 I love creating content, capturing memories & sharing the real, unfiltered chaos of motherhood

Becoming her mom has made me look at motherhood in an entirely different way. 🤍 I want her to grow up knowing that home will always be a safe place and that she can come to me with the hard things, the messy things, and even the things I may not want to hear.

One thing motherhood has taught me is that my children are allowed to experience things differently than I do.

I think every generation should want to give their children a little more than they had—not because their own childhood wasn’t good, but because as parents, we’re always learning and growing. I’ll always want better for my kids in every way I possibly can.

More than anything, I never want my kids to feel uncomfortable coming to me and telling me something upset them. Even if it’s hard to hear, I want them to know I’ll listen, take their feelings seriously, and do my best to make it right.

I won’t always get everything right as their mom, but I hope they always feel safe enough to tell me when I don’t. That kind of relationship with them will always matter to me. 🤍#MotherhoodUnfiltered #GenerationalHealing #RaisingGoodHumans #MomLife by @devjanick

Just out here trying to be a present mom, build a business, keep everyone where they’re supposed to be, drink enough water, hit my steps, answer the texts I forgot about 3 days ago, and somehow still have a personality. 😂
