Death Be Damned, Life!

Silverlake Life is a documentary by Tom Joslin, capturing the decline in health of his partner Mark Massi due to the AIDS virus in 1993, then the perspective shifts to Massi's as Joslin's health declines also from the same virus.

It's heavy duty to see both men die from AIDS. I cry just thinking about it. But the film is also a testament to love and commitment and their humour in the face of death.

As Don Van Vliet once said "Death Be Damned, Life!”

Jumpin Jack Patterns inspired by the amusement park ride of life and a quote from David Lynch "We're all wearing suffocating rubber clown suits" how true that is.
