Sabbatical.

I’ve been through something.
Not dramatic. Not linear. Not pretty. Just real.

It lasted 105 days. An unplanned number. At first I thought I’d be back in a month or two. Then three. Somewhere around that three-month mark, I finally found a name for what was happening: a sabbatical. A break in order to recover from burnout, sensory overload, and the constant pressure to be present.

During that time, I spent a lot of hours questioning everything.

Why am I doing all of this? Who am I trying to prove something to? Do I still enjoy it? Or am I doing it because it’s what I know how to do? Is there any real meaning in it?

At some point, online life started to feel like one endless cycle of content. Beautiful quotes. Beautiful people. Beautiful outfits. Beautiful places. Everyone trying to create an image of something. Including me.

Maybe I actually was being too dramatic. On my better days, that’s exactly what I told myself. Just come back. Don’t overthink it.

But every attempt ended the same way. I’d open Instagram, scroll for a few seconds, and wonder what I was looking for there.

So I stopped trying.

Instead, I focused on my mental and physical health. The people around me. Long conversations. Long walks. My notebook. Small daily rituals. Cooking at home. Somehow I’d forgotten how much joy there is in simple things.

Slowly, things started to settle.

One thing became very clear: we shouldn’t live for social media. We shouldn’t spend our lives scrolling through other people’s lives. The only person worth competing with is the version of ourselves from yesterday.

I hope we give more attention to the people we really love and spend less energy chasing validation from strangers on the internet.

As for me, I’m back. Slowly, carefully, without big promises.

After 105 days I’m back here, hi.

love when a campaign feels less like work and more like a memory. This one definitely did.

They say love is rock’n’roll.
I think relationships definitely are 🤘🏽

They’re loud and quiet. Beautiful and exhausting. Full of adventures, ordinary Tuesdays, stupid arguments, impossible dreams, unexpected turns, and a million little moments nobody else ever sees.

Love is what brings you together.

Choosing each other, over and over again, is what keeps you there.

Eleven years. OMG

Still rocking ❤️‍🔥⚡️⚡️

To the little girl who dreamed of all kinds of things,

I hope you’re proud of the life we’ve built.

You’ve lived it loudly, honestly and fully.
You’ve loved hard, laughed a lot, created, cried, got lost, found your way again, made beautiful friends, chased adventures, stopped to watch the sunset, and somehow never stopped being curious about life.

And look how much of it is still waiting for you!!

But before you run towards everything that’s next, remember where you came from.
Remember the two people who gave you your first home, your first love, and so much of what made you who you are. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Keep finding your people.
The kind ones. The loyal ones. The ones who make life bigger, lighter and more fun.

Keep dreaming ridiculously big.
Keep believing in good things.
Stay soft, but never small.
Be kind. Be wild. Be bold. Be honest. Be completely, unapologetically yourself.

Keep growing. Keep creating. Keep choosing your own way, even when it makes no sense to anyone else.

And whenever you start wondering if something is possible, remember:

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU 🪄

You’ve got so much more life to live.

I love you, little one. 💗🫂 by @devochka.ale
