When you’re painting a giant mural for days and weeks at a time…it can be a battle.

Sometimes it really is YOU vs. YOU and YOU vs. THE WALL. 😩😉

It’ll test you. Mentally and Physically.

But you gotta dig deep, lock in, and sometimes give yourself a few little pep talks along the way lol 😂

When it’s all said and done, and you finally step back and see the finished piece…

It’s always worth the temporary discomfort. ❤️🎨

We finished this mural a couple weeks ago… but we still had one more thing to do.

This wall gets hit with LOTS of direct SUN ☀️, and I want these colors looking as vibrant as possible for as long as possible.

So I came back to apply a protective sealer with UV protection to help protect the mural from fading over time.

Because after putting all that work into this mural, I want it looking 🔥 for years to come. 🎨☀️

Transparency post 😩

As entrepreneurs, creatives, and artists…

You win some. You lose some.

Some days feel like you’re crushing it. Other days… not so much.

That’s the game we play every day. It’s what we signed up for. 💯

Take the wins. Learn from the losses. Keep moving forward. 🎨

Painting a mural last year for a Michelin Star ⭐️ restaurant at Resorts World Las Vegas was pretty dope. 🎨

I didn’t land this opportunity like I traditionally would.

See… not every mural opportunity is going to come directly from the end client.

Sometimes another company lands the project and brings you in to handle the mural portion.

It could be an agency, creative company, general contractor, developer, interior designer… basically, a company that already has the project and needs a muralist to make it happen.

That’s exactly what happened in this case.

And if your work and portfolio speak for itself, people can bring opportunities to you that you never even knew existed.

There’s companies out there already getting the projects you want… You just need to get on their radar.

Shoutout to my girl @cynno for bringing me onto this 🔥🔥 project for her client! 🫶🏻

Your timeline is going to look different from everyone else’s. And that’s okay.

There’s no shortcuts.

Some people take off quickly. Some people spend years building before anyone really notices.

What matters is that you keep putting in the work.

Because success isn’t always about being the most talented, getting lucky, or having everything happen at the “right” time.

Sometimes it’s simply time + effort + consistency.

Keep going. Your timeline is still being written. 💯

Travel murals are funnnn, but there are SO many little things to think about when you’re taking on a project out of state. 😂✈️🎨If you’re starting to book projects outside of your city, make sure you’re thinking beyond just the flight + hotel. All those little expenses add up QUICK, and you don’t want them eating into your profit.

What are some things you care about and account for when traveling for a mural project?
