WE DID IT!!! ‘Apollo and Marsayas’, our operetta/trip to the rave, won the 2023 Rosamund Prize Award. It was so amazing working with @spencermasonslife to curate this piece, and I am so incredibly proud of the hard work the team of performers put in to bring this piece to life 💚💚 Thank you to everyone involved and y’all who came to the concert, means the world to me that we can bring these stories to you 🥰 We couldn’t have pulled it off without the fabulous @willljowett @callum_mccandless @sineadmw99 and Ellie Wood taken in RNCM - Royal Northern College of Music by @devonbonelli

We are so excited to share Rudiments - the first mixtape of our long time collaborator and composer Devon Bonelli!

The albumn is a fusion of club-certified bangerz, post-apocalyptic alien techno, and ambient trip-hop to watch the world melt to. The 12 tracks come from one of our previous projects 'We are the World', a dance piece developed with Devon in 2023/24. Devon says "it’s been such a pleasure collaborating with some of the most creative and brilliant minds I could’ve wished for - the whole team’s inspired so much of this music! None of it would’ve been possible without such amazing collaborators 💗"

Devon would also like to give an extra special shout-out to her mentors davidhornescot @_samsalem and Simon Clarke for their feedback and input to help bring these tracks together 🌟

A brilliant question posed by @_samsalem wound up being her MO for this one: “When the aliens come to Earth in 10,000 years - they see the rubble of human civilization, they see ancient pianos and violins and samplers and DJ mixers, they discover the whole lineage of humankind’s music at once - what would that sound like? How would they create their own version?”

My first lil EP, Oh Yeah, came out last week, and tomorrow my first mixtape is dropping! It features a collection of songs and tracks that were developed with @imogenreeveco in 2023/24 for our show We are the World, along with some outtakes and B Sides from this period 💗 It’s been such an inspiration working with @imogen_reeve and her FEIRCE team of dancers - none of these tunes would’ve been possible without their input and feedback 💕

Had an absolute blast being a panelist with the fabulous @ninawhiteman and @space_afrika for ENO’s ‘Tuning Into Opera’ as part of Manchester International Festival at @avivastudios ! Thank you so much to @englishnationalopera and the brilliant @kamila_rymajdo for the invite and for hosting such an engaging event on the future of opera in Manchester 🎶

Fantastic to see the turnout and to share some of my experiences collaborating with superstar soprano @georgiemalcolm on our opera, Queen Midas 👑

Loved being part of such a thoughtful and energising conversation about where opera is headed next 🌟 (Plus, you can tell I was pretty excited about using a PowerPoint remote 😂) taken in Aviva Studios, home of Factory International by @devonbonelli

Some photos I shot during rehearsals this week! 📸

I am so incredibly proud of all the hard work that everyone’s put in to bring these pieces together. It’s been an amazing experience working with @excessive.human.collective and making such fabulous friends. Hard to believe this all started in 2020 when @rosiespinkss and I wrote the first movement of Discopia in Whitworth Park 😭❤️ It’s been such a wild journey and it’s so surreal to see it all come together. I feel super fortunate to work with these amazing musicians and dancers, they’ve made every rehearsal an absolute joy 🫶✨

Our tryptic of Post-Trust Whatever, Discopia, and We are the World is readying up for our first performance and will be coming to a stage near you!! More pics/vids/BTS arriving soon 😎
